OK, How can anyone say with a sound mind that they believe that this man Jose Luis is JESUS CHRIST??? He was featured on the CBS show called the INSIDER. "This self-proclaimed Son of God is a 60 year old former heroin addict and convict. The divorced father of 4 was born in Puerto Rico and now lives in South Florida with his second wife."

Nowhere in the bible does it say that JESUS will come to earth in the form of some filthy, low life, money grubbing, erogant, drug & alcohol using scumbag! He literally has this whole community in south Florida graveling at his feet.

Would this ever be something that the real JESUS CHRIST would say "I don’t have one Rolex,” de Jesus Miranda said, “I have 3 because they want to give it to me. It's like that woman that came to Jesus with the expensive perfume and put it on his feet. He didn’t reject it, so when someone gives me a watch or a gift, I receive it. I like them too, they're nice"

Also, when he and his disciples were on the road where did they use the restroom. I wonder if one of the disciples ever walked in on him by mistake. If they did they probably said, "Oh God, I am so sorry." Guess, he would say it's ok I forgive you.

I am quitting my job, because I was offered a job closer to home, better pay, and better hours. The current job I am with I have only been there for 6 days! I know what bad timing!! I wrote a formal letter of resignation giving my two weeks and plan to give it to my supervisor face to face tomorrow after my shift. If he asks why I am leaving, do I tell him my three reasons or not say anything at all? Help!! I have never quit a job before, especially on such short time, being there.

I have just discovered Yahoo answers out of necessity. I got some good answers. Then I tried to answer a few questions and I find that people are very eager to be top poster. They write two word answers that hardly answer the question. The only reason for this would be to be top poster or because they don't really care to give a detailed helpful answer. Is this for points or are these people just idiots? And why would you care about points? This isn't Speedway, you don't get anything for your points do you? Maybe some self satisfaction and the thought that you are as smart as you think you are. I don't get it. I just wanted to share and help people. I guess that makes me a stupid tree hugger then right? Quick, hurry and answer so you get your points!

I don't have a title yet.

It gave us unexplainable knowledge,
The tinnniest of fruit that bore all burden,
But no more,
Now we must hold it, carry it,
With patience and care,
Ignorance is bliss,
And so blissful we are not,
The mightiest of creatures,
Yet we have decieved ourselves,
Thoughts fill our heads, questions,
The knowledge that was gainned is lost with time,
And time is lost with fear,
Fear that we're wrong,
Fear that we're right,
Fear that it's over,
Fear that it's just begun.

I am an atheist who left Christianity about 6 years ago. My main reasons were I couldn't find any more evidence to support it any more than other religions and things that I felt were very immoral in the Bible (slavery, death for working on the Sabbath, ect.). I am not trying to cause hostillity towards Christians here, I would just like a genuinely honest answer. This is for anyone who is now a Christian but honestly looked into other religions with an open mind and came to the conclusion that Christianity is the one true religion. What were the reasons that you really believe Christianity to be true?

I've never dated nor have I ever been kissed. I no longer interested in flirting. I've lost the skill. I hate the feeling of embarrassment after the guy rejects me.

What do you mean haven't found the right guy? How will I know? Will my heart stop pounding?

Guys do try to initiate the flirting, but it doesn't come naturally to me anymore. I'm not interested. I just get horny from time to time. That's all. I use to flirt during my ugly duckling stages. Now that I am datable, attractive looking, I don't pay attention to those things. I'm just not into it anymore.

I just want to know why everyone can't get along. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you don't agree with an Athiest, don't answer with a bunch of smart remarks. If you don't agree with a Christian then don't even bother to answer their questions. Y.A. is supposed to be for intelligent adults, not a bunch of bickering kids. We all have a right to our own beliefs. If I don't agree with Joe or whoever, I don't put him or her down for it. I don't have a right to & neither does anyone else. Can't we all just get along?

Because I think racism is stupid. My grandmother hates black people and she told me one day. And I told her that there is not difference between us, we are all human beings....and now they wont allow me in their house...

Should I have kept my mouth shut?
Or was it good to stand up for what I believe???

Could it be that I know deep down inside that if I was born in a Christian/Jewish/pagan home, I too would have become an atheist like so many others, because those religions are totally faith-based, whereas in Islam rationality is as important as faith.

I also happen to know one or two Muslims who became atheists, but their reasons had more to do with the attitudes or hypocrisy of Muslims rather than disagreement over core religious beliefs. As compared to Christians/Jews, very few Muslims become atheists, even in the West where there is so much freedom.

It seems that Christians and Jews who become atheists are mostly negatively influenced by incoherence of basic Christian/Jewish beliefs [God created the Earth 6000 years ago, Trinity, immorality of Old Testament figures, and improvised interpretations of the Book of Revelations, Jesus "saving" people no matter evils things they do as long as they find Jesus in the end, etc].

They freak me out. I honestly find them deeply disturbing-- don't get me wrong, the religion about it doesn't bother me in the least (to each his own and all), but besides being totally useless (proven that they have no effect on the girls) they have some creepy undertones, too...

...is it his fault or my fault that he finds the concept of "Bogeyman belief" absurd? (Assuming that I've showed him every "evidence”, stories, references, and personal experiences of Bogeyman, and even told him that having faith in Bogeyman will guarantee its existence)

I find it ridiculous to belief in something that doesn't have evidence or something that is absurd to me (gods, hell, soul, etc). So why am I different from a child that doesn't belief in Bogeyman? Bogeyman to this kid is the same as god to me, so why would it be my fault if I don't believe in a god(s)?

P.S. if you don't know what a Bogeyman is just replace it with any mythical figures or gods you currently disbelieve in.

why don't Christians read the Old Testament?

and since most don't then why isn't it taken out of the Bible?

isn't it a waste to leave it in there if, you believe that you don't have to follow it?

is there a point of leaving it in there and skipping right over it, because you all don't have to follow it?

please leave your hate out of your answer!

Have any of the rest of you heard of this campaign?
I hope that it's true. I am out to find out more about it!

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this " ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.

The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you n eed to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who s hould be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).

Then why is there way more hatred for homosexuals than liars?
Proverbs 12,22 says that lying is an abomination also.
http://bible.cc/proverbs/12-22.htm
Both verses use the exact same adjective to describe the sins.

Is it because homosexuals are trying to get equal rights? Isn't lying, except in court, legal? Shouldn't you be consistent and try to ban lying?

Does homosexuality have more severe consequences than lying? If so, then if all sin is equal, why is one more harmful than another?
