I've never dated nor have I ever been kissed. I no longer interested in flirting. I've lost the skill. I hate the feeling of embarrassment after the guy rejects me.

What do you mean haven't found the right guy? How will I know? Will my heart stop pounding?

Guys do try to initiate the flirting, but it doesn't come naturally to me anymore. I'm not interested. I just get horny from time to time. That's all. I use to flirt during my ugly duckling stages. Now that I am datable, attractive looking, I don't pay attention to those things. I'm just not into it anymore.

There's nothing wrong with you, and apparently plenty wrong with those guys...
Seriously, you have found you want to be appreciated as a human being, not as a potential one-night stand. You simply want more than a pick up line, and don't want to be rejected if you don't make the "Hot Chick" cut. It means you are growing up and into intelligence and found the others around you lacking.
No problem. Find a different group where you are a valuable contributor and not a future notch on a bedpost. There are lots of church singles groups that still focus on dating before having sex, why not join up with those people? You can find other intelligent singles who have fun without having to have 'fun' 24/7, if ya know whut I mean. Hang out with people who appreciate YOU, not your flirting capabilities. In the process, my, imagine that, you just might find that rare thing called a "meaningful relationship" where you, you know, don't have to prove yourself to be loved.

Have you thought about becoming a nun?

As an almost-18 year old guy I can tell you that, at this age, if you're even remotely "hot," then flirting is entirely unnecessary if you're looking to hook up with some guy.

True you haven't met anyone you feel worth flirting with. Some people really don't care about romance or sex, and that is fine.
Some need to meet a true soul/heart mate to feel anything. Don't worry about it, it will happen when it does. If it turns out you don't want guys, that's okay too.
Be true to yourself.

it's called 'growing up', right now your focused on getting your FUTURE together as opposed to who your friends think is cute.

Don't worry about it, it all comes in cycles.

That ONE, will find you when it's the absolute WORST "place, time" Say the middle of WORK, the middle of FINALS.
Always something important. then you have to decide, your future or your potential happiness.
the Fates are cruel that way

You sound like you were too aggresive in the past. Forget Women's Lib, men need to chase women. Join an online dating service and let men chase you. There is a list of dating sites at http://www.webdatingguide.com

You just haven't find the right guy yet. Trust me, he will come to you very soon. However, don't because of your frustration so that you pick a random guy. Not only it will hurt your feelings but it will also hurt your future.

All flirting is , is teasing. someone that flirts does not intend to follow through. Flirting is not an indicator that the person likes you or is interested in you. actually it is the opposite. Flirting is really sarcasm at its meanest

No. There are more important things in life. This could mean that you are ver focused in your life. That is never a bad thing. You may want to make time for yourself but that is up to you.
