I have to confess after I really got "on fire" for God, I felt like the only reason why everybody on the planet hadn't converted, was that I hadn't started preaching yet!
I tried telling everyone that God loved them, and of course most just gave me the "you freak" smirk and walked away.
But I finally set my target on some guy I worked with who I felt just needed to know how much God loved him.
Looking back I think God just wanted me to show the guy a little support, (this guy had fried his brain on heroine back in the day,) but I couldn't leave it at that. Instead, I just had to make this guy see how much he needed God in his life. *sigh*
I'm really embarrassed at how I acted now, and if I ever have the chance to apologize to him I will.

Never, but I do like answering questions on the bible. If briefly talking to an unbeliever, if the conversation permits Christian topics, I may mention a verse or two and give my reasons why I quoted them. I am not one to go out and try to convert by force. Does that make me a non-Christian?

When I was initially regenerate, I did. I thought if I said just the right thing in just the right way that person would suddenly understand what was so clear to me now. As time passed, I learned that God does the choosing, and He opens the eyes of the blind, not me.

Now when this sensation comes to me, I just go talk to the wall instead. At least it doesn't give me any lip, and it won't have to pay for the refusal of the truth in hell.

And they say Christians aren't compassionate.

i am not "determined to convert" anyone. If someone asks, i answer. if someone makes a statement i feel is incorrect or misinformed, i will clarify. the whole "conversion" thing is up to the individual to do...not to up to me.

I usually only speak of my beliefs to my friends and family. Being on here is very out of character for me. The only stranger I ever really opened up to, (I honestly felt freaked about saying that thing I did), ended up being my husband.

No, I don't. I don't believe in forcing my religious views upon others. However, my best friend did convert, and I was (and am) happy for him...but that conversion was completely his decision to make, and not mine.

Kind of like the gay friend who always tries to give you back rubs thinking "everyone is just a little gay".
