...is it his fault or my fault that he finds the concept of "Bogeyman belief" absurd? (Assuming that I've showed him every "evidence”, stories, references, and personal experiences of Bogeyman, and even told him that having faith in Bogeyman will guarantee its existence)

I find it ridiculous to belief in something that doesn't have evidence or something that is absurd to me (gods, hell, soul, etc). So why am I different from a child that doesn't belief in Bogeyman? Bogeyman to this kid is the same as god to me, so why would it be my fault if I don't believe in a god(s)?

P.S. if you don't know what a Bogeyman is just replace it with any mythical figures or gods you currently disbelieve in.

It's bogeyman's fault that he doesn't show up and convince everyone, instead of blaming everyone for not having faith in absurd.

The bogeyman does not exist, and I think it would be frightening the child to push this seriously mad delusion on the child. Are you a witch? I am asking a serious question here. Not trying to be funny.

There is only one true God, and the rest have been made up by philosophers or men.

If I can't convince a kid that the women I call "mom" is my mom....is it my fault or the kid's. (Assuming I have shown him all the family pictures, produced my childhood friends, their parents and my childhood neighbors who all testify that she is my mom, I have shown him my birth certificate, my mom's state issued driver's license and my school records naming her as my mother). But he says, photos only prove the same lady was there for all those life events, and people lie, and documents can be falsified. He said, if I believe there is a bogeyman in my closet does that mean its there, so you believing she's your mom means nothing to me. Hm...maybe she isn't my mom...

If belief is not a choice, Christianity is absurd. They cannot agree with the former without admitting the latter.

I think the boogey man has more credence than the false security of religious superstitions . Was John Cooey the a real boogey man . Be honest with your children it could save their life.

Apparently showing you the evidence wouldn't make any difference.

Personally, I would think in both places, it meant you were well raised and critical thinkers.
