The simple answer is not to take the account as literally as you are.
The story of Adam and Eve is a way for us to understand that God is our creator and that through our own fault humanity has become seperated from him.

Well actually people who are of close relation marrying one another is bad. This is due to dominant and recessive genes. If they have a child then the flawed genes have an even greater chance of showing up in their children. Remember that brothers and sisters and first cousins have married threw out history for one reason or another. Even in America up till after the civil war. So the idea that Adam and Eve had children and they married each other does not pose a real issue. The thing is that God made Adam and Eve therefore they were perfect in how they were physically made, thus they had no recessive or "bad genes". So that means that none would have been passed onto their offspring's. This over time has changed, due to gene mutation and so on. So now we do have genes in your background that can cause deformities and other illnesses due to having a child with a close relative. That is how I see it. I hope you understand what I am saying. =) Oh yeah don't forget Lilith that is often left out. There could be something there like maybe she and Adam had daughters.

Well I am happy to hear some one confess Jesus publicly.
I'm not trying to be mean but you need some education and a lot more than you will get here.
Try some of the children's bible stories for adults at gracethrufaith.com. You can learn a lot just by reading the ask a bible teacher section everyday and ask some questions yourself.
Incest is wrong, true and can cause genetic problems, but with a brand new DNA to work with it would take more than a couple of generations for the bad stuff to show up.
At any rate Adam and Eve had lots of kids. There was no need or availability or information on birth control.
Look up Adam at bibleresources.bible.com.
God bless you stay on the road to Jesus and all the rest will work itself out for you.

First of all Adam and Eve's sons did marry their sisters, there was no one else to marry, and in most of the listings of families thru out the old testament the women are never mentioned. I am sure Eve had more girls than she did boys, because the bible says she was the mother of all living, eventually over in the old testament, and I can't remember where but it talks about were God started stopping the marrying of sisters and cousins, and aunts, I'm sure you could do some research on that at biblegateway.com and find that answer in a few minutes. Remember back then all these generations hadn't passed and so there blood was still pure, today we pass diseases on all the time. Our blood lines are about out. I know in my family tremors is past on and you see familys were drug abuse causes a kid to be addicted to drugs as soon as there born, I believe this is a good sign the return of Christ is imminent, Jesus is coming soon, Praise the Lord!!

How many children did Adam and Eve have? The Bible does not give us a specific number. Adam and Eve had Cain (Genesis 4:1), Abel (Genesis 4:2), Seth (Genesis 4:25), and many other sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4). With likely hundreds of years of child-bearing capability, Adam and Eve likely had 50+ children in their lifetime.

I'm pretty sure it was their sisters, Adam and eve had many children, they just weren't all listed, and usually when you read a family lineage in the bible, only the males were listed, unless the female was of some importance to biblical history. at that point in time incest wasn't an issue, the human race wasn't contaminated with disease. but through the generations the gene pools of very closely related members in a family started causing birth defects, and people were so widespread by this time that it was no longer necessary for people to marry ones sister or cousin, etc. i feel god decided it was now sinful because of the complications that were now involved in the reproduction of an incestuous relationship. i don't claim to know all of gods reasons, as to why he does what he does, and what reasons he has for certain things, but these are my conclusions from what i have learned. god doesn't deem certain things a sin, just to be a big old meanie, it's for good reason, all sin are deemed sin for a reason, and god wants to protect us from the consequences of the sin .

Hi, Girl. You may be misreading Genesis as a literal history of the origins of mankind. The point of the stories at the beginning of Genesis is to explain where we come from, why marriage is so important in our happiness, and why we so often miserable and estranged from God.
An important clue is in the names of the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. The basic meaning of these names is "man" and "woman." Their story is our story, not the literal history of our primordial parents, but the explanations of our origins, longing for intimacy, and fall from grace.
On a purely anthropological level, one can believe God created Adam and Eve first, while moments later creating many other original humans. For this reason, there were spouses for Cain, Seth, and other children from other children of the world's first humans. God always has a plan, and a backup plan.
Cheers,
Bruce

After God created Adam and Eve he told them to be fruitful and multiply and to subdue the creatures of the earth. That's what they did, we don't know how long Adam and Eve were in the garden before they fell out of grace with God. It could have been hundreds of years and their children when grown would have moved to different parts of Eden. Cain and Able were the first born after the fall and being kicked out of Eden.
God cursed Adam and Eve, to Eve " I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, in pain you will bring forth children." Gen. 3:16 How could God greatly multiply her pain if she had never had children or experienced childbirth?
I'm not sure what you mean by their baby would be really stuffed? Are you referring to in breding, and birth defects? Adam and Eves blood lines were pure there were no birth defects back then so they could marry brothers and sisters that was the only option they had. Blood lines today are corrupted and that is why we have birth defects.

Yes, Adam and Eve had daughters, and other sons.
Of course, you know Adam and Eve had Caine and Abel, then..............
"And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him SETH.
After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and HE HAD SONS AND DAUGHTERS." Gen.5:3-4
They had to marry their sisters. The world had to be populated. It was ok then, because people were brand new, and there weren't a bunch of genes being passed down that would hurt the offspring. This is the way it had to be in the beginning. How else were they suppose to populate the earth? After the earth was populated enough, God changed it to not marrying your siblings.
Things were not according to science terminology. They were, and are according to God. God Bless.

Adam and eve had many children. Only Cain, Abel & Seth are named in the Bible but more children are mentioned in Genesis 5:4. As for who they married, it doesn't say. As for Cain, all the Bible says he went to the land of Nod and found a wife there. Everything else is open for speculation.

Adam and Eve never had children, hear me out.
Revelation 12 tells the truth about Adam and Eve. Eve had all her children through the Holy Spirit, as Jesus and John the Baptis were born. Eve's first born was Abel (Jesus) and He was killed by Adam's first born Cain. (the blood of the lamb crys out to me. Jesus refers to the children of Satan as TARES among God the Father good seed.
Adam came from the land of Nod, (the time of Job, the 2nd age. Eve was given wings to fly to the Garden of Eden, the 3rd age)
Noah's flood was the 4th age and is told in Revelation 12:14-17. We are now at Revelation 8:5 and Revelation 17:17 everything before this has already happened or is happening now. The next prophecy to be fulfilled is the next president of the U.S. shall fall to Gog (Asia) and Magog (Russia) The 8th Pope shall be the anti-christ, we are currently with the 7th pope. The countdown for the 10 kings and 7 kings started 1960 AD
