Isnt is a little harsh to say that all babies (humans) are born sinful? I mean, the babies didnt do anything wrong, and still havent even start to live their lives and understand them. Also, god doesnt allow other peoples punishments be put on everyone. BTW, im just curious, so please no stupid, or sarcastic answers. Thanks.
BTW, im Muslim, and we have a totally different view of that belief. But I wanna know more about wut Christians believe.

Did you get into or find yourself forced into learning a stereotypically man field? Did you understand it fine the way it was taught to you or did you find a unique way of understanding for yourself?

You probably don't care, but I was just wondering how long it'll take before I feel better. See, my grandmother died 9 months ago today. I've struggling with a huge decision, and today I was thinking about it, and I wished that I could call her and talk to her about it. She's the only person I could go to with problems like this, and I miss her so much. I thought I was fine and now I'm just a basket case.

Is he/she still here. How did you originally come across R&S.

I started out in the "Men's Health" section and stumbled across R&S. And, I have been here ever since. O.K., I have had a few minor indiscretions. But, who doesn't.

For all of the christians who don't believe in instrumental music in worship...do you think it would be any different to go to a benefit for a cemetary and have a few people singing a 'church' song with instruments being played? I grew up in a christian church and had to go to a benefit for a cemetary and I know the church members do not believe in using instruments...but isnt it the same thing if you have alot of people together and the are singing and using instruments? I am not saying that I think it's wrong or right...I dont go to church anymore...just wondering what you think. Thanks in advance!

Greek & Roman, or Jewish Mythology. Why would it be placed in that section and not the other?

Christians, please don't report this question. I didn't say that it was mythology (I know how that upsets some of you and makes your mouse itchy around the report button). I said IF it were... this is a hypothetical question. If you don't like it, please, just don't answer. Violators will be blocked and reported. You've been warned.

to support it. For instance, if the Bible says a big country will invade a small country in the middle east, the first time a big country invades a small country there, you can claim the prophesy came true. But in truth, neither country was named in the prophesy, and noone will ever know which two countries were being referred to.
I think any reasonable man/woman will conclude that prophesies were predicting events that were expected to happen within the next 1 to 100 years. If they happened, they happened thousands of years ago, and they have no applicability to today. Even Jesus predicted events like his second coming that would happen within the lifetime of the people he was talking to. Maybe it happened and went unnoticed, but it certainly won't happen nowadays, unless Jesus was lying or mistaken.
I am sure someone will disagree with me, but that's what the Bible says; and the person disagreeing with me will probably be a person who claims the Bible is true. Unsound??

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

when i ask a question i want an answer EXCLUSIVLEY ON THE TOPIC...

but those trolls always have this urge to better my grammar instead of answering the question itself...

like words like "tho, thru, ain`t" make their eyes water...god, this is for simplicity reasons...

especially the ones who try to alter some parts of your question(grammatically)...the funny thing about them is they think their version sounds better while feels like it IS but from the point of their own language...as if these 2 languages have the same logic...i know cuz i myself am foreigner...

this question is not for the ones who didn`t get the point of the question...

why on LGBT? cuz here you can get more answers, that`s why)))

IN previouse years... I got into cutting and bruising. I had some messed up stuff going on and alot of stress. Everyone knows me to be happy so i took it out physically. But i want to be over that now. my walk with the lord is stronger than ever... and I want more than anything to never cut or bruise again. But the old addictions are comeing back. and strong too. SO I am trying to think of a healthy thing to do that can replace those old addictions...
Any ideas..?? and please dont critisize me for cutting. I have heard enough of that already.. all I want is some ideas on healthy and good addictions...

I had a roommate move from out-of-state so he didn't know anyone really, but we both just started law school. The 1st week, he'd always ask me where I was and what I was doing; I just assumed he was like this because he was new and it was the first week (maybe he was lonely?). Soon I tell him I really wasn't expecting to make the roommate situation a friendship thing ('cause at this point, he made lists of what we should be doing together...i.e. he'll teach me to swim, we have to go to the park together to learn stuff, etc.). A couple days ago, I came home early to find him in my room (even though I close the door) watching tv..he acted like it was completely normal. Apparently, he's been doing this for awhile. If he didn't really creep me out, I'd try to work it out, but now my mom thinks maybe he's just lonely and that's alright (obviously my dad doesn't think so lol). Bad thing is he returned the wrong keys and said it was an accident when I asked for them. O_O

All Christians agree that we are saved by grace apart from works. How then is the exercising of one's free will NOT a good work which provides grounds for boasting?

Many believers have told me that they believe because they have faith. In fact, they will believe in spite of a lack of evidence or in spite of evidence to the contrary.

If I told you that I believed the Japanese had not attacked Pearl Harbor in December of 1942, but rather they had attacked Los Angeles, you would expect me to back up my claim with evidence. If I told you I believed it through "faith," you would rightly think I was a nut case.

But when someone makes claims about a religious issue, and they say they believe it because they have faith, we are supposed to take that as a legitimate claim?

I used to think that "faith" was something like "hope" or "wishful thinking." Now, I'm beginning to see it is not something as rational as either of those. It seems a lot more like denial with a different name.
