Because some people like what Nostradamus taught more than what Jesus taught. A simple question of what one person's beliefs are.

Because the Bible is no different than any other religious text, it only reflects the ideas of a certain people/ their needs/ desires/ etc. Why would anyone not believe the Bhagavad Gita but would believe the Bible? That would be an equivalent question.
Nostradamus existed. His contrains have been proven. He gives names and dates. He was a psychic, and a darn good one at that !

Maybe I don't get out enough but I've never met anybody that believed Nostrodamus.

Nostrodamus wrote of things that would happen in the future and many of them have come about.
The compilers of the Bible spoke of old prophecies that had come to fulfillment in the past, even before they existed, instead of prophesies that would come to pass after they had written that have come to pass. There have been no biblical prophesies that have come about in nearly 2000 years, now.

People what to believe in something that takes no effort or brain power.
The bible requires study and effort.

Because it is easier to belieeve something from man than something from God. Also God holds you accountable for your actions. Nostrodamus is dead. Christ is alive.
