to support it. For instance, if the Bible says a big country will invade a small country in the middle east, the first time a big country invades a small country there, you can claim the prophesy came true. But in truth, neither country was named in the prophesy, and noone will ever know which two countries were being referred to.
I think any reasonable man/woman will conclude that prophesies were predicting events that were expected to happen within the next 1 to 100 years. If they happened, they happened thousands of years ago, and they have no applicability to today. Even Jesus predicted events like his second coming that would happen within the lifetime of the people he was talking to. Maybe it happened and went unnoticed, but it certainly won't happen nowadays, unless Jesus was lying or mistaken.
I am sure someone will disagree with me, but that's what the Bible says; and the person disagreeing with me will probably be a person who claims the Bible is true. Unsound??

I don't know where your information is from since it is obviously not from the Bible, but if you take the time to make:
A careful examination of the Bible it will provide you with considerable evidence that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial.” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17 ) For instance, the Bible is filled with detailed prophecies. History documents their fulfillment. (Isaiah 13:19, 20; Daniel 8:3-8 , 20-22; Micah5:2) Although it is not a science textbook, the Bible is scientifically accurate. It contains facts about nature and health that were written thousands of years before scientists were able to reach similar conclusions.-Leviticus 11:27, 28 , 32, 33 ; Isaiah 40:22.
There are more prophecies that are being fulfilled in our day alsoyou might like to read about what they are in(Matthew24:7-12 ; Luke21-26 ; 2Timothy32-5 ; Revelation11:18)

The Bible is the ONLY book in the world that has precise, specific predictions, not vague, that were made hundreds of years in advance and that were fulfilled.

The Bible has very specific prophesy about how Jesus would die, his hands and feet would be pierced, about the casting of lots for his garments and pierced with a lance. This was all written before crucifixion was even implemented by the Romans. Jews stoned people to death back then.

Not a single prediction of Nostradamus has ever been proven genuine.

The Bible IS true, and there are hundreds of prophesies that DID come true in the past, and will come true in the future. We are not in the prophetic program today that God had with the Nation Israel, but in the "preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING to the REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY" Rom. 16:25

Prophecies have to do with Gods promise and program with an earthly people that have an earthly inheritance. OUR inheritance is heavenly and our so are the promises. NOT the same program.

Jesus didnt lie...all the things He promised would take place with the Nation Israel WILL happen.

Today, he is offering salvation by grace thru faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross. THATS what you should be taking a good , hard, long look at.

There are many bible prophesy that have come true.
One quick example is the rebuilding of Israel which took place after world war 2.
As to Jesus read Matthew 24 & Luke 21 , then look around at what is happening in the world today . It don't take a rocket scientist to figger out the time we our living in right now.

I'm religious and I DO think the bible is true. Prophets get messages from God. Maybe God didn't give them the entire info because he does not want human kind to know everything.

But in the bible, before Jesus was born, a lot of prophets predicted that the saviour would come, and he did.

But we'll see, there is a prophecy in the bible of how the world will end.

The scoffers in this verse are people like you who do not believe.

2Peter 3:3 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, "

If the verses below do not describe today I don't know what does. Science worships the evolution and the creation not the creator.

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

I have meet prophets (not physics) and they were right on. They do not predict the exact future but they know by the holy spirit what is going on in your life and what you need to do to resolve your situation. I have had the holy spirit reveal things about someone before they told me. It states in the bible that God gave gifts onto men (Ephesians 4:11). IF you do not show your self approved you will not see these things manifest.

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

All the OT prophecies were fulfilled in the NT. And all the NT prophecies were fulfilled by the end of the Roman Empire (64AD - 1453 AD).

I prophesize that by this time next year we won't be enjoying our standard of living in the US anymore. In fact life will suck a whole lot more.

Watch that one come true.
