I think you're doing the right thing about being kind to others, don't let people change who you are. It's not your problem, if others doesn't appreciate your kindness. It's their problem, they have a problem and not you. You're who you are, a kind person, which is a good thing. I do the same thing and people sometimes take advantage of it, but so what... I give because I like it, and if they take it as my weakness, then.... what can I say, they're not going to change me, instead, I hope they'll eventually learn something from me. God bless.

Sorry im not in my giving a full and through answer mode but I used to worry constantly about how this would look to others and how fancy this is and all that but people asked em stuff and i kept saying yes and yes and yes and yes!
To every little thing so one day i forgot about that i started wearing whatever I wanted without caring I started SAYING NO! and your aloud to do that whenever you want!
If your feet hurt at the end of the day go put them in the tub dont over work em!
Have fun you only got one life!

Stop being kind to them OR
Do the same to them and then ask how they felt OR
Don't consider of them as friends and behave like you just have met them before -nothing more

You have to be firm with people who do that... and sometimes it's hard because someone who's really lazy will probably go to lengths to keep you from doing so.
