i just heard this song at it is so beautiful... 'luna' by alessandro safina

Luna tu

Choeur: Only you can hear my soul, only you can hear my soul

Luna tu

Choeur: Only you can hear my soul, only you can hear my soul

Luna tu
Come poi facciama quasi sempre noi

Choeur/A. Safina: Che l’amore puo nascondere il dolore

Come un fuoco ti puo bruciare l’anima
Choeur/A. Safina: Come un fuoco ti puo bruciare l’anima

Choeur/A. Safina: Alba lux, diva mea, diva es silentissima

Choeur: Only you can hear my soul, only you can hear my soul

Alba lux, diva mea, diva es silentissima !... . . . .

we are all human beings and parts of a material world, one of our inborn features is perception we learn to accept things based on perception, we know something is real when we perceive it with our senses (dont come with love exists and we dont see it since love doesnt exist on its own, it is just an emotion and an emotion exists because a mind creates it), no matter how brainwashed you are, it is not possible to really believe something is real if you dont perceive it with your senses, delusional people who believe an unexistent being is real actually see and/or hear the unexistent being, they dont just believe Bunny the rabbit is real because someone tells them but they can really see him or hear him, his mind really creates that "vision"....
How can a non delusional person (that is a person whose brain is not damaged to the extent of creating an actual perception of something unreal) really believe the existence of something that goes beyond his/her perception?

Why would God create a sin free world then add beings that he knew would bring sin into it, then curse them for bringing that sin, then ask them to ask him to forgive them for giving in to the temptations that he gave them in the first place?

What?

And some Christian people have claimed to have dead relatives come back to comfort them, is it possible that God may allow some souls to return for short periods of time to visit loved ones?

Nobody is perfect, but we can try to be good people to each other. Stop the hatred, it's not getting anybody anywhere. It's only creating more problems and more distance between all people. Join together as one and fight hatred with goodness.

What is your opinion on this?

"Inscribed on the prophet's sword:
Forgive him who wrongs you; join him who cuts you off;
do good to him who does evil to you;
and speak the truth even if it be against yourself.

Whoever restrains his anger when he has the power to show it,
God will give him a great reward.

Backbiting is more grievous than adultery,
and God will not forgive the backbiter until the one wronged has forgiven him.

Keep yourselves far from envy, because it eats up and takes away good actions as fire consumes and burns the wood.

More importantly, how can Christianity and Islam be serving the same God if they both make contradictory claims about who Jesus was?

Christianity says Jesus was God born in human flesh who died on a cross to pay for the sins of humanity.

Islam says Jesus was a prophet, not God, and that he did not die on a cross, and that you must atone for your own sins by following the 5 pillars.

They are contradictory and cannot be the same!

Fellow atheists and humanists, and agnostics, skeptics, freethinkers et al., I'm really eager to put together, for my own use, a roster of blogs and websites in which solid, intelligent points-of-view are giving life. Does anyone have a roster? Or is equipted to point me towards such sites and blogs? Really, truly appreciate it!

I think the influence of Jesus is greater than any man that ever lived. I think his DNA would show male and female chromosones. I think the Bible is full of beautiful allegories and some myths, suitable for the 99% illiterate public 2000 years ago. I find it strange that the many professional writers in the first century (Josephus,Tacitus,Seneca, Juvenal and Pliny) who wrote about every event of their time scarcely mentioned Christ and NEVER recrorded any of the supernatural events that were3 mentioned 300 uears later.

I find it strange that the gospels mention the fact that Jesus had two sisters but NONE of the gospels ever mentions their names.

I find it strange that although "ecumenism" (the unification of all christians) is a constanltly favored goal, the present Pope, declares in print (see: Dominus Iesus in Google) that ALL churches but his are DEFECTIVE and should not even be called churches but instead "religious communities". Doesn't this put back ecumenism 200 yrs?

God created us, he knew exactly what would happen, he knew Adam would bring sin into the world, before he created the world.

It's not free will if you give someone a temptation that they cannot resist.

When I saw Prince Henry (Harry) speak today.
I saw the boy in the public spotlight become a man.
Not that I don't think less of Prince William.
I just like P.H. unpredictable character.
I didn't know if he was going to pull a "Charles Spencer".
But instead gave a great tribute to his mother.

There is a new, young, "hip" church in NYC and I've been going as an experiment and to learn what they believe and what they teach people my age. I am learning a lot although I really don't believe in Jesus at this point. Is it still okay that I go and get the free books and coffee?
