ok! recently i have been preparing and praying for my nlevel examination..it is a very important examination to me..yesterday when i feel like delaying my study time to the other day due to my laziness,then,a phrase came my mind all of a sudden "if i do my best,God will do his best.if i dun do my best,God cant help me" i feel encouaged and intend not to delay again and again. i have never thought of this phrase b4 and the phrase came to my mind to sudden...i was wondering was it God trying to guide me?

"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12)

As you can see, it does not say, "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, unless they arn't Christians, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

How come I don't see any Christians putting this piece of scripture into practice??? It seems to me that they treat anyone who doesn't believe as they do quite badly.

I was in the mythology section earlier and people actually believe in vampires. Look at all the people in the world that believe in some kind of god. Many people believe the world will end in 2012 because of the mayan calender. Have we really made no progress in the last few hundred years? Will we ever think rationally or are we always going to believe in rubbish?

what is considered a community service besides volunteering at the hospital, library, nursing, things like that. I'm a freshman just turned 14 so what would be some good community service things that I could do? I"m going to study to be a anethesiologist so I would probably like hospital work the best. Is it even possible to actually volunteer and be accepted at my age? Also I have never done community service before.

Up through the Middle Ages, apparently God gave no one astromonical knowledge of the shape of Earth, so everyone believed it to be flat.

Shouldn't a deity give you all the facts before commanding you to use your "free will" in making choices in what to believe?

My best friend's little 6-year old girl has nice long hair, and it used to be very shiny and pretty. Well, lately, it is just dead. It has no shine, like most little children's hair her age. I know her hair could be so much prettier. But my friend brags about using $2.00 shampoo. I suspect that this is the problem! I know that she can afford to get at least a $6 or $7 shampoo, that would be so much better.
But how do I tell her? I can't just say, "Hey, your girl's hair looks awful! Switch shampoos for crying out loud!"

How can I casually bring it up without hurting her feelings?

I'm arguing the point that to God one day is as a thousand years. I don't think the writer meant literally "1000" years. I think he was trying to open people's minds to the idea of extreme lengths of time.

If God really does exist then why can't we all be born with the correct beliefs. Why do we not know the answer and he needs to tell us through a man made book. If some one did not pass on the correct FACTS wouldn't those beliefs just die out?

Christians, there are places in the Bible that say the sexually immoral will not enter the kindgom of heaven and from what I understand that means any act of forincation including as the young people but it going all the way?

If this is true how come people I know that have been active if you know what I mean BEFORE marraige yet their finances are in order thier children are healthy and strong and they are prosoperous? And why arent people repentive and sorry to God for what they have done if it is truly a sin?

He says they are too fattening but I am a 20 year old petite lady and I have always wanted to have one but never was allowed by my parents. They wouldn't take me to McDonald's at all. My husband tells me I have to obey him no matter what, but this lady down the street said it was okay to have a Big Mac...I'm confused!! :(
