The top? We are just a page in history. This time and everything we know will pass. Will you be saying the same thing when Hindus are the most populous? What about Muslims?

Does the population of the religion prove anything? Doesn't the Bible say that there are only a few that are on the correct path?

If so, I am going to find myself the religion with the least amount of people. Becuase that will surely be the one Jesus was talking about.

By the way, your number 2.4 billion, includes the Muslims, right? 1.2 billion Christians, 1.2 billion Muslims. I think those are the correct numbers. Did you know that? Or am I wrong?

No, You have to accept Him as the Son of God, which means that He is God in flesh. Look at this passage: Luke 23:40-43 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? John 5:18 states: 18For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. It's clear that the early followers of Christ believed that Christ was God in flesh or at the very least in some why shape or form 100% equal with God. Even if you look at Christ being nailed on a cross. This was a curse to Jewish people and they were to give their life for another Jew - but yet they clearly gave Him over - Why? Because it was lawful to convict to death on the cross one who claimed to be God. that's why they had no problem with it. Even Peter's Church , which we still know the location has printed on the walls the worshipof Christ as God or Diety. So no, you cannot accept Christ without truly accepting who He is, and that is God in flesh. We are living in an age where we have no problem re-defining christianity and what it means to be christian, but neither the way nor the Diety of Christ has changed. And that's regardless of denomination nor age.

You're joking, right? You can't possibly say that you don't know the history of your faith, can you?
Ever hear of a little thing called the Council of Nicea? The Inquisition? The Crusades? The Maleus Maleficarum? The Witch trials?
These "building blocks" based upon a "convert or die" mandate of the Church are what caused christianity to spread and then become a familial tradition.. just because you believe in it doesn't make it so.. try again with a better argument.
Btw, no historical evidence that a biblical Jesus (Y'shua is not a hebrew name) ever existed. Nor did the town of Nazareth exist during the time he was alleged to have come from it. Study some history while you're at it.

> If Jesus Christ is a mythical person and God does
> not exist. why did christian rise to the top?

Anyone unencumbered by reason can climb Mount Improbable.

> You cannot deny 2.4 billion people.

The argument by numbers is a fallacy. Ask the Gaza palestinians who elected the terrorist group Hamas...

The world population is 6.6 billion. That means that 4.2 billion people do NOT believe that Y'shua of Nazereth is the Jewish messiah.

The statistics you have chosen to use may soon be changing as the number of Christians of all of the various sects of the same is decreasing and has been for many years.

The fastest growing religion in the world is Islam.

Christians "rose to the top" as you have put it by not practicing what they preach coupled with blind ambition and out right ruthlessness at the expense of whole peoples and cultures.
The history of Christianity and the spreading of the same throughout the world is nothing for the Christians to be proud of. More person have been killed in the name of Christ than for all of the other reasons for such slaughter combined. Such is another sad but true statistic.

Ma'a salaam.

I would put it more correctly Yeshua HaMashiach. Also if I may, He is not only the Jewish Messiah, but the Messiah of the everybody.Romans 10:12. He ,Jesus, is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Revelation 19:16.But how and what they believe,is what will matter.Remember what was asked in Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. and also in Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Just because you know who Jesus the Messiah is,do the believe in Him?

Well, utter ruthlessness, incredible violence and control of both Literacy and goverment helped up until the 1700's.

The ability to feel good about wrongdoing and be officially forgiven for it was a big plus too.

And, of course, destroying people's ability to sustain themselves and then administering charity has long been a successful tactic, which is why Christians are so firmly allied with Big Business and Republican pols.

No, Christianity rose to the top because they went on killing sprees and crusades against anyone that disagreed with their beliefs starting with Constantine the First and had the most powerful empire backing it up at the present period, again conquering, converting, and beheading and hanging any nay sayers. Then you have the Crusades. The slaughter of basically most of the Native Americans, indigenous people, along with the Salem Witch Trials and etc. I can go on and on with this...

That's a larger number than I've heard before. But even if true it means that 4.2 billion people disagree. Do the math before waving that big "We're #1" foam finger around.
