Wondering specifically what kind of information - aside from name, address etc.
Likes? Dislikes? Personality? Doubts about the church?
Any ex-missionaries out there? Would appreciate a very honest answer. Thanks!

I co-worker is turning 30 and is having a party at her house. She is throwing the party 2 weeks ahead because she will be out of the country on her birthday. My question is...
Do I buy her a gift and bring it to her party? I was thinking maybe a $50 gift card to Target, is that good enough?

Because the last thing I want is to be compared to some of the arrogant and 'uppity' people I have found here. I am modest, but apparently not modest enough for some people. I am faithful and obedient to Allah, but apparently not faithful and obedient enough. Swearing my devotion to Allah is apparently overshadowed by little things I do that others feel are condemnable in Islam. I find that to be extremely sad and for the first time ever, I am ashamed to be associated with others who claim to share my faith.

Has anyone else ever felt this way?

Lifetime and WE have been going crazy with terrible movies about her life (not to say her life wasn't interesting but those movies are terrible).

Second question. Why are Americans so obsesed with the royal family? I have seen commericals for like 10 movies about Prince Charles or Prince William or Princess Diana (all on lifetime of coarse). I have no problem with this but how come you never see as many movies about American Presidents? I just think it's weird. I mean no offense but I'd rather see a movie about JFK then Prince William I mean come on he's like 25 or something, how much of a movie can there be? I think I am just ranting now sorry...

Hi,

Acupuncture is based on the life energy -spirit- and its flow in the body.
If it really works, it may mean that spirits exist.
But is there scientific proof that acupuncture works?

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH LINKS.
But please show your sources with links.

Thanks a lot.

The essay topic is Egalitarianism. I'm now writing the plan for the body paragraph, but I'm so confused about how to put each main idea into each paragraph.

The things I wanna talk about such as *Aboriginal Australian *Women *Gay & Lesbian *Asian migrants
(cos they were treated unfairly in the past but the society now....etc)

If I write 1main idea in each paragraph then how do I categorise them? Cos I need to write at least 3para. in the body.

Women + Gay & Les. = GENDER
Aboriginal + Asians = RACIAL

then only 2 ideas?

God created Adam and Eve with free will, but then gave them a temptation that he knew that they could not resist.

He is an all knowing God, he knew that the temptation he placed in the Garden of Eden would cause the fall of mankind.

If it is so important to God that we love and obey him, then why didn't he create us to be stronger, or why not just create a world that is free from temptations?

Many people will answer that he wants us to choose him, but this is not the correct answer because we do not have a choice.

We are cursed, we are all sinners due to the fall of man, no amount of free will can make us free from sin.

On top of that, according to the Bible, if we do not choose God, the alternative is to burn in Hell for eternity. That is not a choice; that is a statement commanding us to obey or face the consequences.

So did God just create a problem so that he could provide the solution and why would he do that?

I know that you all have legitimate claims to blame others for your moral decline, but come on. Judaism evolved well to help the Jewish people with constantly being conquered and deported until they decided to laugh at Muhammod in the 600's and then that entire Israel fiasco in the 1940's.
Jesus was a great guy with great ideas; it's just too bad all his later followers decided to add their own agendas and screw up his philosophy.
Same goes for Muhammod. From what I've read, he was a great guy who only wanted the best for Arabic people who had never had a prophet speak to them in their own language. He recognized each area could have a different contact with God. Be it Jesus, Buddha, whatever. After he dies, all hell breaks loose.

Come on. You all have great religions if you would just listen to their original architects. You all preach peace, so why on earth have so many wars been fought in the name of religion for the past 4000 years?! Please explain or just stop

I absolutely diapprove of adultery, and i'm a christian, but i wouldn't say i'm fundementalist. I'm asking this because my parents got divorced a few yeas ago, and my dad kept trying to get me to accept the skank he left my mom for. I said i didn't want to be around her because i didn't approve of adultery. Well my dad said that only conservative christians disapprove of adultery, and another time he said only fundementalist christians and muslims would disapprove of adultery. I said that disapproving of affairs has nothing to do with religion or politcal opinion and that any decent person would disapprove of adultery. Am i right? Is there anyone who believes it's wrong to have an affair, but isn't a fundementalist christian or muslim?

People ask me how I feel about this, that or the other thing.
Homosexuality for instance, and after I listen to their liberal arguements they ask me my opinion and when I tell them that I am a Christian and this is what I believe, I get ATTACKED!
Would you attack my religion if I was Jewish? What is I was a Muslim? Buddist?
Why are Christians attacked constantley!
Your entitled to your opinion...why am I not entitled to mine!!!!!
