Sorry, but I think any black person who actually believes this is perpetuating the stereotype birthed by racist whites (that white people are intellectually superior- and that black people are physically superior to compensate for their lack of intelligence and for the purpose of meeting society's labor needs).

I agree with the person whose answer you chose as "best answer" to your question located at the address you gave. I'm reposting it below (just in case anyone is too lazy to click on your link).

I'm merely quoting and concurring:

Tms wrote: "No, it is a stereotype. There has been several psychological studies done to investigate this issue, and as i said, it is a stereotype.
As you grow, you learn a lot from own culture and get influenced by it. Therefore, you get more interested in sports that your culture has exposed you more often.
Unfortunately, this also implants the stereotype in you. For example, it is believed (but not true) that black people perform better at sports that required/ focused on physical performance such as football, boxing...etc, and that whites performed better at sports that require strategic planning, such as golf, pool...etc. The researchers made up a sport and tested the participants. They all performed equally. However, when the sterotype was activated (activation means telling the participants that "statistically, whites do better on this sport because it requires stratigic planning, or black perform better because it requires high physical performance), the groups performed according to the stereotype of their groups. In other words, it is a mind game, no more, no less.

So how did this stereotype form in the first place?
Well, to begin with, it formed and evolved slowly over many years. It is the human nature to divide and classify, but unfortunately, it is mostly used in a negative way.
Anyway, some of the reasons this stereotype came from are the constant affiliation to physical work, example:
1. labor during slavery years.
2. after freedom, many did not have access to educational opportunities, so kids would turn to music or sports.
3. many did not have access to good jobs, and usually, the low paying jobs require a lot of physical work.

today, things have changed, but unfortunately, the stereotype hasn't. It will take many generations for a stereotype to wear off, but sometimes only moments to be born."

Of Course Blacks are more athletic, its obvious that we are, we may be the worst athlete among our own, but when we are against another, we always take the lead...I did. I guess its in our genes to be athletic after all, slaves didn't sit on there asses all day! White people get mad because they no its the truth, they like to bring up stupid as$ sports that really ain't about nothin' like hockey and soccer although we can dominate in that to if we wanted. The only real reason why we aren't big in those sports because they fu*kin suck. and R.O. is a dumbass he don't know what he's talkin about.

Hell, the WORLD'S GREATEST is black (Muhammad Ali, and he went to my school!!!), most of the NBA all-stars are black, and so-on. So this question is a no-brainer!!!

Yes we are, and just because we don't want to beat the hell out of each other (bare knuckle) for no reason other than the amusement of others, doesn't make us any less superior athletes. (R.O)

UFC and Pride are for meat-heads and neanderthals who excel in nothing other than hitting and being hit; Oh what skill and cunning that takes.

Y'all are gonna have to take the proverbial "L" on this one.

I don't know.... I think blacks are better at athletics because they train WAY harder. I was one of the best in Tennis at my high school because I trained harder than my teammates(who were all white) I place 2nd in my region, but I don't think it is solely because of me being black but the majority of blacks have the "black mentality" the fact that society makes it harder for us(than any race) to get ahead in anything. I think it is because MOST BLACKS strive harder to be the best because we have to be,(in USA society) white people don't have to try hard at anything because they get everything handed to them on a silver platter. So many aren't use to sweating stuff out and working their butts off.

From what I've seen, they're better equipped for most sports than men of other races. They've got the speed, strength, and endurance. IMO, they're more masculine, too.
