God created a situation where we could learn and fully understand the desolation and death that sin causes and provided us a way to escape and rise above it so we could live eternally grateful in righteousness ...

As I have stated before, And, I'm sorry, I'm not a believer in God, But the GOAL here, is the "happy" afterlife, right? The day of reckoning? It is at that point HE chooses which are fit for heaven and to start the whole mankind thing over again.
I believe I am correct, right? The souls that profess their love for him after repenting, get to be part of the new, and improved humanity.
And, if they were truly given free will, (because the Bible says so) then I'd have to believe that God did NOT know that they would fail, but rather, hoped (maybe even crossed his fingers) that his creations wouldn't let him down....just like parenting as we know it, today.
And, just to be correct, choosing God or burning in hell...IS a choice.
Know that if He exists, he'll probably be proud of you for thinking so deeply about the meaning of life...great question, btw.

It is my understanding that God is incapable of creating anything outside of His infinite being and that all His thoughts are good and eternal. Therefore, there is no place of "true" illusions of mortals in God, and so they must pass away to where they came from. To our way of thinking, it would seem that God is responsible for a big mess, but that would mean that God is a big mess, because we are God's image and likeness. So it becomes clear that the mortal man is the illusion and the spiritual man is the image of God, but we do not yet see the spiritual man. Then it seems God did not create even one problem, but the mortal man sees lies that were not made by God.

When Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, they had no knowledge of good and evil. They also weren't able to have children in their current state of innocense. Yes, it was in the plan of God for this to happen so that we could exist.. You mention "free will" and God did give Adam and Eve their free will to choose to partake of the forbidden fruit. Who knows how long they dwelt in the garden of Eden before Eve did partake? Could've been hundreds of years! "Adam fell that men might be".
As far as "mankind" being fallen because of the sin of Adam is untrue. We are not punished for Adams transgressions but are punished for our own transgressions. The atonement of Christ is for all. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ". The atonement is also in place for us because God knew that we weren't perfect and we would sin using our free will. Which brings about the process of repentance and baptism.
Another point, in Corinthians it discusses three degrees of glory -- glory of the sun, moon and stars. Three degrees of heaven if you will. We will be given a glory according to our works and our choices that best suits us. Hell does not exist. Yes, hard point to believe, but the hell that is so discussed will be a burning fire within ourselves because we will come to a full knowledge of what we did wrong. Commandments and doctrines of God are for our own good and happiness. "The truth shall set you free" . Beware of the counterfeit lies of Satan that would have you believe that sinning and serving the "natural man" within us is true freedom. God made us, He knows what will make us happy and what will not. This is why there are commandments.
Lastly, it is OK to question God. He wants us to ask questions. He wants us to know Him. He loves us. God does not want to remain a mystery but we must "come unto Him". Good luck on your quest for the truth! Keep searching. We've been given a lifelong voyage to seek for the truth. It is here on this earth alive and well. "Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you."

It isn't a one time problem, in a sense. God is glorified in man's dependence and man is most satisfied when God is most glorified as man depends on God.
It's an ongoing eternal life style.
of course some people prefer gutter water to living water and that would be their choice. But when one really gives glory back to God, glorifying God, leaning on Jesus work on the cross believing for eternal life, they are most happy

Mmm. I don't think there's a word for it. It's like how the pharmaceutical companies sell sickness. It's profiting off of an invented problem, first convincing people that there's a problem, then convincing them that it's far more serious than it actually is, then convincing them they need your drug for it rather than turning to more basic treatments (e.g., diet change) first.

I asked why God created humans, and one answer I got was that God is here to help so that we can know the truth, and his purpose is to save us from the dangers of this life.
So, yeah, I think He did purposely create a problem so that He can be the solution (if He exists).

God gave Man free will.
Free will had its downside... but God didn't want to force people to love Him.
Man brought sin upon himself. Man willingly embraced evil with open arms.
God sacrificed everything... to fix mans mistake.
God gave of Himself... so that we may have a choice...
to accept him ... and live with Him forever... to know Him... or reject Him and live apart from Him forever.
God bless,

Do Buddhists believe in a creator god?
No, we do not. There are several logical reasons for this. The Buddha, like modern scientists, sociologists and psychologists, believed that religious ideas and especially the god idea have their origins in fear. The Buddha says:
"Gripped by fear men go to sacred mountains, sacred groves, sacred trees and shrines." *Dhammpada 188
Primitive man found himself in a dangerous and hostile world, the fear of wild animals, of not being able to find enough food, of injury or disease, and of natural phenomena like thunder, lightning and volcanoes was constantly with him. Finding no security, he created the idea of god in order to give him comfort in good times, courage in times of danger and consolation when things went wrong. To this day, you will notice that people become more religious at times of crises, you will hear them say that the belief in a god gives them the strength they need to deal with life. You will hear them explain that they believe in god because they prayed in time of need and their prayer was answered. All this seems to support the Buddha’s teaching that the god-idea is a response to fear and frustration. The Buddha taught us to try to understand our fears, to lessen our desires and to calmly and courageously accept the things we cannot change. He replaced fear, not with irrational belief but with rational understanding.
The second reason the Buddha did not believe in a creator god is because there does not seem to be any evidence to support this idea. There are numerous religions, all claiming that they alone have god’s words preserved in their holy book, that they alone understand god’s nature, that their god exists and that the gods of other religions do not. Some claim that god is masculine, some that she is feminine and others that it is neuter. They are all satisfied that there is ample evidence to prove the existence of their god but they laugh in disbelief at the evidence other religions use to prove the existence of another god. It is not surprising that with so many different religions spending so many centuries trying to prove the existence of their gods that still no real, concrete, substantial or irrefutable evidence has been found. Buddhists suspend judgement until such evidence is forthcoming.
The third reason the Buddha did not believe in a creator god is that the belief is not necessary. Some claim that the belief in a god is necessary in order to explain the origin of the universe. But this is not so. Science has very convincingly explained how the universe came into being without having to introduce the god-idea. Some claim that belief in god is necessary to have a happy, meaningful life. Again we can see that this is not so. There are millions of Atheists, free-thinkers and Buddhists, who live useful, happy and meaningful lives without belief in a creator god. Some claim that belief in god’s power is necessary because humans, being weak, do not have the strength to help themselves. Once again, the evidence indicates the opposite. One often hears of people who have overcome great disabilities and handicaps, enormous odds and difficulties through their own inner resources, through their own efforts and without belief in a god. Some claim that god is necessary in order to give man salvation. But this argument only holds good if you accept the theological concept of salvation and Buddhists do not accept such a concept. Based on his own experience, the Buddha saw that each human being had the capacity to purify the mind, develop infinite love and compassion and perfect understanding. He shifted attention from the heavens to the heart and encouraged us to find solutions to our problems through self-understanding.
But if there is no creator god how did the universe get here?
All religions have myths and stories which attempt to answer this question. In ancient times, when man simply did not know, such myths were adequate, but in the 20th century, in the age of physics, astronomy and geology, such myths have been superseded by scientific fact. Science has explained the origin of the universe without recourse to the god-idea.
