I would not change my religion or life for any president. That is why we live in the U. S. We have the freedom to choose. I am not a follower and my husband being in the military does not make me any more likely to do so just because that is the presidents choice.

We would have to pretend that that could happen. As long as our money says, "In God We Trust", No "Atheist" would ever be elected to office. Not an open Atheist, anyway.
I'm already an Atheist, and to be honest, as long as the president has advisors....no president will ever be as good or bad as they could.

I don't know if I understand your question completely. Are you asking if I would admit to being an atheist if someone important like the president said he was?
The answer is no. Someone else's religious (or non-religious) persuasion has no effect on what my personal beliefs are, or what I profess to believe.

I am already an Atheist, but I'll pretend I'm not. No, I wouldn't be. If the guy said he was an Atheist or some type of non-believer, would I care? Hmm, not really. I'm more concerned about their politics than their faith or religion.

Why would anyone want to follow such a scummy example (not just the current president, I mean any president)?

LOL Who makes decisions based on that anyway?
I've never been a "follower"...I have always danced to a different drummer then everyone else...until more people started believing as I do in our area I was pretty much a solitaire believer, lololol
I don't vote for any one party...if I think someone is good for the position that is what I vote for...I'm not any particular denomination either...Bible is good enough for me :)
Peace be with you :)

Weird, a?
All these obvious theists - they'll follow an invisible man with many monstrous characteristics but they wouldn't follow an atheist they could see after having elected him/her to represent their best interests in the here and now.
