It is way better to own up to the lies you have told. You will feel better about yourself and you will earn back a little of the respect you lost for lying in the first place. We are all human and full of imperfections and we all have told a lie at one time or another and if someone says that they have never lied then they are probably lying to you

Well, we shouldn't lie in the first place. But it's better to just admit it. When you deny it, you might as well be saying you think the other person is stupid. I hate that. Oh, and you shouldn't try to excuse it either. Just admit and apologize.

If the other party knows that you lied and called you on it, what good is another lie of obvious denial going to be? It just makes you look like a continuous liar who may not be able to be easily trusted.

If you're caught, you're caught and you should admit it. When people deny they lied when it's obvious they did it just looks silly and people lose respect for them.

If you continue to lie, people will never believe you in the future......so 'fess up and admit it. Don't try to justify it or excuse it.......cuz it will just sound like "excuses".

you have already been caught lying. why make it worse and keep denying it? That would only cause whoever you lied to believe you are untrustworthy.

If you have been "caught" and the lie is "obvious", denial is futile.
