The government and organized Christianity walked hand in hand to destroy the Native American culture. They thought by slaughtering the buffalo, they could destroy them.

What they don't understand is that Native American Spirituality is within, there is no word for religion, but there is a recognition of a Great Spirit, who resides within us, and all around us. Not far away, but close by. It doesn't rely on outside religion, and cannot be destroyed.

And Buffalo Bill is a national hero. Not in my book.

Another example of using God as the justification for murder and cruelty, for the purpose of money, power and control.

All in all though, I've got to say they FAILED miserably
They MISSED. They took fake smiles for REAL ones. They took 'humor' for real intention.
While they were at church functions, we were sneaking off to speak our languages and learn our dances in secret.

Leave a note and ask this again in another 100 years or so.

I think the ENTIRE xtian faith from the Catholics on down are on that slope where Jesus will become the new demon like satan and lucifer did.
Once great gods, but their religion was destroyed and they became the demons of the new one that replaced it.

That's not religious persecution. That's saving souls. They still try to do it today but they can't imprison you and make you slaves.
