Lust, gluttony, sloth, envy, wrath, greed, pride. As most of you probably know, those are called the seven deadly sins.

We have all at some time committed at least one of these, though usually we committ all of them daily.

How, then, is a "sin" determined? How does God judge who to condemn and who to save? By the Christian belief, you are supposed to repent for your sins, and then not repeat them. Well, we all repeat the same sins multiple times, even after repentance. So what is a sin? What is a DEADLY sin? How is the mortality of our soul defined?

Have gotten comments like, "we have miss talkative over here!" or "stop making so much noise over there! You're so loud!!"

All I can do is shyly smile and look down bashfully. Why do people say things like that?

Some people encourage us to hope for miracles everyday of our lives.

If their wish came true, then statistically, miracles would become the norm. When miracles become the norm and become normal physical laws, they are no longer miracles. If everyone is s superhero then nobody is a superhero. The existence of the rich depends on the existence of a comparable poor class of people.

Then some people would say, "We should all believe in miracles because even child birth is a miracle." That is just aliasing the meaning of the word because I might as well say, "Hey, I believe in miracles because my being able to shake my leg or suck my thumb is a miracle too."

What is Miracle? Can it be defined as a statistical abberation that the Almighty deign to incur as an expense to normality only under dire circumstances? What about "The gods must be crazy" phenomenon? Like a parent did something ordinary but the toddler thought it was a miracle.

I can't believe how my understanding of Science and other philosophies have led me to understanding that the world is bigger than all of us. It has opened up my world and left me with only the guilt that I put on myself for being a jerk, rather than carrying around the worlds problems. I was a hardcore christian. You don't even want to know. Most christians couldn't even handle it, but I've been an atheist for about a year now, and I am absolutely amazed that I am vilified, and discriminated for it. When I was a xian, I thought we were the biggest targets. Not so! I am very comfortable like I said with my beliefs or lack thereof, but I now know that Xians can never say that they have it rough because of they're beliefs, I now know that. I think it would be great for there to be an open dialogue (non-combative) between us all, but it can't happen, a belief is something very strong that people take instant offense to when challenged usually. Everyone has to figure it on they're own!

Has anyone ever put together a list of things that you really want/need, tucked the list away and forgot about it. What were the results? Did any of your 'requests' come through? I'm told that it works. Thanks!

If someone was in a car accident, and they were unconcious in the wreakage, Wouldn't you save them without having to asking for their permission? IF YOU LOVED THEM, wouldn't you save them even if they said 'no'?

If Jesus truely loves everyone, why doesn't he save everyone regardless of their religion?

If he did save everyone, then it shouldn't be possible that I am going to Hell. Once someone has already been saved they can't decide to unsave 'themselves'.

Some guy said the following earlier:

There isn't a shred of evidence for the "thousands of gods" so I don't believe in them.

To extrapolate from this that there is therefore not even one God is an illogical non-sequitor - worse yet, there is plenty of credible evidence for the existence of the God of the Jews and Christians. Care to discuss it? Drop me an email.
