what dies is only your body. A part of the five elements. A part of nature.

Your spirit( the energy you had and still have) can never see death nor life. It just exists.

Once your body perishes your spirit will live on either consuming another body or forever drift in the great beyond.

for a minor comparison

consider a car.
a car needs a driver to give its benefits.
If the car breakdowns the driver within does not stand still with it.
he will either buy a new car or mend the broken one.

You need a handle on physics when you are talking about death and the afterlife. First, when you die, you pass from the boundaries of space-time into timelessness. When Adam died, he did not "sleep" as we understand sleep. The moment Adam died he entered timeless eternity. The next moment, the entire of earth's history has played out and the judgment has begun.
Sleep is sort of like that. When you sleep, time seems to pass by in a moment. Ever gone a night without sleep? It is like the night lasts forever. In the eternal, time has no hold and no limitation. As we live in these bodies, time drags on. But upon our death, click, the world's scenario has already played out. What happens after the judgment depends on what you decide in the here and now.

The best thing to do is be prepared ahead of time.

For Buddhist people, we believe the next life so we have the imagination about the life after death as follows:
- After death, our body has no life, our spirit and soul will seperate from other.
- Spirit will consist of the part of all feeling good-bad and the spirit will be go to heaven or hell depend on it done.
- Soul like the whole body which has the feel hot-cold, taste, smelt, seeing will have life in the world of death people till he has signed to be new born we called the soul like "ghost"..
- Some Thai people who has the good sense can see the ghost everywhere around us but they will not hurt people.

That is true story. Do you believe it or not?

You go through a tunnel towards the light.
When you reach the tunnel this you disappears and you become the one you were before ever you were born.
Then you get to look at this life from the point of view of all the people you interacted with in your life and learn of what you created outside of yourself in others.
Then you get to go on the other side of the light and plan another life where hopefully you can create a you that you can love.
Then you dive back down into another womb and start all over again.
Hopefully like me you are still now young enough to pay attention to the fact that what we really are creating is all that stuff that is in between us all so that we can go to whatever's next rather than just keep recycling ourselves.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Hebrews 9:27
King James Version

-------------------------------------------

if you obey God and you triumph over the judgement this is going to happen to you.

Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed ,

I Corinthians 15:51

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I Corinthians 15:52

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

I Corinthians 15:53

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

I Corinthians 15:54
King James Version

I don't know. I'd like to think there was another existence after this one, but since I've yet to have someone come back and tell me, it seems to be otherwise. I haven't heard anything that would sway me to believe one way or the other 100%.

Nothing... once the heart stops beating and the brain dies, there is blissful nothingness.

And I, for one, am completely okay with that. Encourages me to live my life more completely NOW, rather than later in some unverified place called heaven.

The Right to Enter Paradise

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!
