Sweet Heart, we are living in the Great Apostacy. Everyone is saying Lo here and Lo there is the Christ. There are several Churches and should only be ONE. Because there's only ONE Jesus. Of course the Great Apostacy will confuess anyone. When The Apostles were all killed, Authority to Act in God's name was taken from the earth. This witch burning was done WITH OUT authority from God. Jesus Christ however Restored the Priesthood to the Earth through prophet Joseph Smith. www.theremnantchurch.com

Hello,
If you check historical figures and facts the numbers of people tried, imprisoned or killed including women were were more like 50,000- 100,000; not 10 million or 1/5 the population of Europe.
For the ones that died, people were in a different frame of mind and it was a world of less science and a lot more superstition. State and religion were intertwined with one another. People believed that witches were as much a clear and present danger in those days just as we find other types, cults and organizations in our times.

Murder in the name of God is the sickest thing I've ever heard of. If women are sent by the devil, then I guess everyone alive in this world is a demon.

And men (contrary to popular opinion). Yes, it is sad that all those Christians were murdered.
Holy crap! You almost got by me with that "millions" comment! Liberal estimates place the deaths of all executed heretics from the inception of Christianity through the counter-reformation at 300,000. Where did you get your numbers?! They have these things now called "history books."

Mrs. Veronica, Baby, you're the stupid one! You can't even spell know. Sorry Dear, you're only one letter off, so close. And as for the question, because Christians believe that because it was Eve who took the "evil fruit" and not Adam, women are less than men.

You mean witches? They (christian leaders) used an official manual to determine if a woman was a witch. Torture was used to force them to confess, execution would follow. This is the same mindset which compiled the Roman bible, the same mindset which perverted the real teachings of Jesus and his wife and turned it all into Roman mythology.

Millions?
Could you cite a source, please?
I've never heard of any cult teaching that women are sent by the devil.
A few husbands, maybe...
But no church, that I know of.

WHEN and WHERE was this crap believed? It is certainly NOT part of Christian doctrine; never has been, never will be.
Whoever came up with this garbage obviously didn't believe in the propogation of the species...which was God's idea...duh...

Read the book of Romans in the Holy Bible, that will answer your question. Don't take the word of anyone else.
