I would be happy if you would not give me quotes from the bible, but your simple opinion. This question is not for religious people only, it is for everyone since morality is a matter of society, not religion

have you had any personal growth fromm this whole Y! answers thing?
I have had a bit. I was down right bigoted towards alot of religous folks but have really come to find more commonalities at the core than differences. In fact most of the differences I have found between all the different groups have turned out to be pretty superficial when looked at from an outside perspective. Not to say that some folks dont piss me off to no end nor that I dont have my trolly fussy daze but... well thx folks I appreciate your help in making me the Jamus I would rather be.

What about you?

As a Christian we are often ostracized for trying to spread the gospel to those who do not want it. Yet, we see them as hurting people who are committing spiritual suicide, and we are trying to help them rather than let them do what they want.

Okay. I went to www.sacredtexts.com and read "The Book of Werewolves" by Sabine Baring-Gould, and It intrigued me.
She took real time to write that so my question is, If she had experienced seeing werewolves 200 years ago did they really exist back then? Or was she just a bit touched in the head?

CS Lewis said: "There is no middle-ground with Christ Jesus. He either WAS a heretic and a lunatic or he IS, as he claimed, the Son of God."

I add: " A true Christian must proudly proclaim that Jesus IS the Risen Son of the Living God and reject any argument that he was merely a talented rabbi or a wise philosopher or a mere prophet".

I am told over and over again, that I cannot be gay and be Christian. However, there is no doubt in my mind that when I die, that I will go to heaven. Regardless of what you or your church says. God is the ultimate authority on not only scripture, but on one's heart...so why do you pretend to be all-knowing?

I am not welcomed in the religion I was raised, because I am a non-repentant gay man...so, you were able to steal my religion from me....but know, there is nothing you can do that will steal God from my heart.

Famine, persecution, peril, sword nor even the fundamentalist Christian can separate me from the love of God.

So, why do you try to condemn homosexuals?

Your opinion of interpretation of scripture may lead you to believe it to be sin... But, for the homosexual that feels led to worship with you, work with you, praise with you...why wouldn't you welcome him with no judgement as you do so many other people with perceived sins?

On your deathbed, you long for the final embrace to meet the lord... You feel the world going darker and darker... and you expect an ethereal helping hand appear and gently lead your soul to the final resting place, basking in the glory of your god. At anytime now, you expect to see a light at the end of a tunnel, a sign that this is not a dead end, that you have deserved a place in the most coveted place in the universe by dedicating an exemplary loyalty and faith to your religion.
And in the split second before the very end, you realize that there is nothing after all... and that it is much too late to change anything... That it has all been in vain.
Isn´t it better to go with the idea that there is nothing more? To be thinking of all the good things that have happened in your life and die with dignity, fullfilled and content, instead of expecting more and not getting any?
