Where in the Bible does it talk about inflation and uping the percentage of tithes? Jesus didn't belong to a church so how did they come up with giving to the church? Jesus said to give to the poor, not to Him. I just think the Romans were a bunch of controlling men who wanted power and prestige and everyone's money. Do you truly believe that God wants ALL people to give 15% of their earning? There is a ton of poverty in this world and I don't think God wants the people who are earning $10/week to feed their families to take what they have away from them to give to a church. What are your thoughts?

Zunis [rightfully] believe all creatures crawled out of a hole in the ground. But because of insidious Christian control of the electronic media, and because scientists refuse to accept the evidence, Zunis have been unable to spread the truth to other people of the planet.

When will people finally wake up to the lessons of Corn Maiden? Mud Man? War Gods?

According to the American Heritage Dictionary (4th Edition, 2006), a fable is defined as;

A usually short narrative making an edifying or cautionary point and often employing as characters animals that speak and act like humans.

According to the bible, both a donkey (Num 22:28) and a snake (Gen 3:1) are said to speak. Therefore, by definition, the bible is nothing but fable.

Why would you live your life based in what is, by definition, fable? We don't live our lives based on the Wizard of Oz, even though a lion is said to speak. We don't live our lives based on Bugs Bunny, even though a rabbit is said to speak.

What is the difference between the Wizard of Oz, Bugs Bunny and the bible, which would cause you to live your life based on fable, wherein animals are said to speak? Do you not know that snakes can't speak, since they lack vocal chords?

I fail to understand how any rational person could live their life based on something that is defined as fable.

Do you think the way we are treated would change, for the better or worse? Would we get equal rights? What would the Church think of it?

These are just a bunch of hypothetical questions, you can pick which ones you like to answer. Thanks for answering!

I just picked up the cleaning job at my doctor's office where I work and was told that I would get a flat fee of 130 bucks extra a week to clean twice a week.

Well I got my check today and taxes were taken out like usual, but even money was taken out of my cleaning...needless to say the tax deduction was higher because I made more.

Should I curiosuly ask my boss about the "130 flat rate" for cleaning and tell her I didn't realize that money gets taken out of it or should I just let it slide...we are talking about a decent difference that I should be getting...

Why do so many people think this man is of GOD. And im not here to judge but just give the facts. In Tennessee Billy Gram and Tammy Fay Baker were scamming people for their money that was to go to charities and it did not. Billy was not married to tammy but was having sex with her, and wouldnt a man of GOD help people rather than buy a multi million $ Home and what about sending money for Prayers now thats just Evil. A man of GOD would not decieve People out of their money then run to the Carolinas. To me a woman of GOD i see Evil in this mans face. There is More to that man than just knowing the Bible and saying what people want to hear for a Dollar. Hes devious and Rich. He will Have his glory here on earth but when its time to face GOD he will be judged. Id rather have my Glory in Heaven. I feel for the people who belive in this man. . it dont take sending money to this man that is filthy rich and using GOD to get that way. Money is the root of all evil

Was he being good when he created evil?

And starvation, disease, hate, violence? Because if he's as omnipotent as everyone claims, then he also created all those things. Not just moonbeams and kittens and hugs.

Isn't good a bit of a simplistic term to apply to an all-powerful supernatural being? (Assuming one exists, of course.)

Yes I know God knows no gender, but people preach that we are of HIM and made in HIS image....well, what about females? And if we are made in God's image, too why don't people say that we are made in HER image or at very least we are made in HIS/HER image? As well, why are all the women in the bible jezabel's and whore's?

Why is it you think that Allah n God are 2 different god's, there both the same whether we call him Jevah(like the jew's do) or Barhama like hindus would so the muslim name for God is Allah. This is the ignorance.

Islam which is the first religion n the truth, the word Islam is an arabic word means submit. we all worship the same God wether a Jew, Christian or Muslim . Allah is the arabic word for God, so Allah is God, This is what we call God, which is used by most muslim's and non-muslim arab's, just like the jew's call God Jevah, and the Hindus call him Bahrama, i think they do(hindus).

Yesterday I went grocery shopping and one of the baggers helped me out with my groceries, even though I told him that I could take them out myself, that i didn't have anything to tip him with, ect. He said that it's a service which the grocery store provides and he didn't need a tip. He was very sweet, but I left feeling guilty. The reasons why I feel guilty is that a) I'm perfectly able-bodied and b) even if a tip's not expected, I would sort of feel better if I could tip him. Should I feel guilty?

... creationism alone should be taught in public schools as an alternative to evolution.

A lot of people embrace the argument and understand the parody. These are overwhelmingly not creationists, though. Indeed, I've never heard a creationist's response.

So... Creationists, IF I were to accept the notion that an alternative to evolution should be taught in schools, why should it be the Abrahamic/Christian tradition, in particular?

Let me say up front that I'm an agnostic formerly trained in the sciences. For me, evolution has a sufficient amount of evidence to back it up. On the other hand, as a rationalist non-empiricist I also succumb to the notion that what I "know" is limited and therefore leave room for other possibilities. This is more of a social/cultural question than one about religious beliefs.

I was raised up in a Pentacostal Holiness Church. Of course it is not
the same as it was, 20 years ago. And neither are the people. But we
still have the same agenda, and that is to serve and worship the
Almighty. Back in those days you couldn't where a dress lower than
the knees, one time even the ankle. Or red on Sundays, no wine, no
women preachers, no uncovered hair on Sundays in church, no
jewelry, no strong perfumes, and so on.... I think you get the picture.
But things are much more conservative and flexible now. And the men
don't always have to wear a suit either ! Wow. What is your religion ?

Last night I heard several Democrat frontrunners state they are for equality for all, but do not support gay marriage. How do they justify this? Simple math teaches that what is not fully equal is unequal. Yet many of these folks seem to really believe they support equality. Do you believe legalizing civil unions on a national scale, but not gay marriages equates to equal rights?
