You have the freedom to believe whatever you wish. Lots of people either don't believe in God, gods, Satan, devils, spirits, ghosts, unicorns, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, etc. There will always be someone who will tell you you're wrong and still others who will agree heartily with you. That's the fun of being human.

No. It is your choice after all. But Anselmo, Mohammed is the prophet of Muslims. Not a God. None of Islamic teachings defines him as God. Because according to Islam God is the One and none of the believers can put anything or anybody in equal place to Him.

The famous French scientist Blaise Pascal once postulated that, if there is a god, the risks of not believing in him (i.e. burning in hell) is much greater than believing anyway even if there is no god. Thus, according to Pascal, it is a wiser choice to believe than not to believe. This argument in favor of religion became known as "Pascal's Wager."

Assuming for a moment that one accepts this line of reasoning, then which god should you worship in order to avoid an unpleasant fate in the afterlife? Many religions insists on the exclusivity of its own supreme deity and make it clear that believing in any other gods condems you to damnation. If this is the case, then you cannot simply believe in them all and it becomes impossible to choose a god out of an infinite number of possibilities. Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha (although buddhist teachings do not state that he is a god), Vishnu, Zeus? One might as well believe in the flying spaghetti monster. Seen in this light, they all carry equal weight.

Therefore, I believe that the most worthwhile choice is to focus one's endeavors in life to improving the conditions for his fellow man (or woman). The only true afterlife is the legacy that one leaves behind.

Yes. How would you get to know what each stand for? Satan would like for you not to know him because he'll burn in hell in the lake of fire and that where every unbeliever will end up.
But as for God, His throne is in Heaven with a street of gold.
Take your pick.

hun, its your desicion, your life, and your consequences. you should not be asking the people on yahoo answers though, cause they we dont know about your life where youre comin' from. and that trash about "real christians" not preaching, judging, or whaever else she said--its a lie. do you really expect christian people to be perfect? no. they are sinful and they do all those things--even though its not right. but a righteous man of God is balanced on his truth and grace. you cant just pound the truth into people without any grace, and you cant just be so kind and loving to them that you dont explain the truth. but preaching, judging and whatever else she said is definitely done by christian people, even though God looks down on it, "real christians" (as she called them) make awful mistakes too. and i guess i'm not really answering your question.

its your choice. you will meet eternal destruction though. but you have a chance to go to heaven. your soul aint gonna rot in the ground with your body, babe.

No. Belief is not something we have a lot of control over. If you don't believe in something, you can't force yourself to do so.

Many people find comfort in their belief in a higher power/s; others live perfectly happy lives without any belief in anything supernatural. As long as you explore whatever seems interesting to you while never loosening your grip on common sense, you can't go wrong.

Something had to start the mess of mass and energy we call the universe. Whether its one entity or millions, nobody knows. However, I see no reason for any entity whose prime talent is to cause pain....only a human mind could think that up.

Of course it's not wrong & don't let the pseudo-christians (real christians do not judge, threaten and preach) tell you otherwise. You are free to believe or disbelieve in anything you want.

If such beings exist, then I would say it would wrong to not believe in them.

The question, then, isn't if it is wrong to believe, but if such exist for belief to be validated.
