If he was not a liar (and his life shows that he would not be) and he was not insane (and his life shows that he was not), why not believe he was truthful?

There are three distinct usages of divinity and divine in religious discourse:

To refer to a deity or godlike being or Power
To refer to powers or forces that are universal, or transcend human capacities
To refer to qualities of individuals who are considered to have some special access or relationship to the divine

Buddha, being a divine incarnation of the Lord cannot be a liar. His pupose was to stop all the animal sacraficing.

Which Buddha? To my knowledge, Siddhartha Gautama never claimed himself to *be* divine but instead exhibited aspects *of* the "divine". A man can be just a man and still be a great man.

If Buddha made a statement like "No man comes to the Father but by Me" as Jesus did, then this question would pack a little more punch.

The same argument is made for Jesus. Insanity can't be proven just because you say so. I have a different take on "and his life shows that he was not...". Because if that is true for Buddha then it can't be true for Jesus. It's a subjective judgement. Makes it a moot point.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

... he is surely divine as we see his adherents even now yet he is the oldest prophetic person in history, obviously after Adam (as). about being liar or insane i'll say that he had a mystic person-ova and his teaching r extremely harmless too.

Problem is, Buddha never CLAIMED to be divine. So your little spin job spins all the way into the ground.
