There are many debates on homosexual marriages...

one point of argument is that we should not change the way marriage has been for thousand of years. yet, not very long ago marriage was forbidden among different races.

until 1967 that the anti-miscengenation law was passed, it was illegal in 30 out of 48 states for a black man to marry a white woman or visa versa.

yet, the laws where changed and many biracial couples have wed.

what is the difference? should that change never have happened either?

just want to know your thoughts.

I am searching for a right word in english which conveys a message to that I am doing this because I prayed to god. For example: I will offer my hair, if I pass out my final examinations; So, In the cited example I would like to know an alternative/correct term in english???

My boyfriend of 11 months, who has always been a pretty strong christian, has suddenly gotten a "religion" check, and says no more sex till marriage. Yet. Were not engaged. and. In the month since he came to this decision, he has "slipped up" and made love to me more than three times. And every time, says we cant do that anymore. and swears up and down it wont happen again. and then boom. were tearing each others clothing off. The thing is, I am READY to marry him. But he wants to get a year of schooling under him first. but has not even APPLIED to school yet. I recognise that yeahh maybe having sex before marriage isnt a 100% perfect choise, but we arent just screwing each other. We are genuinly making love. We are a very commited and in love mature couple. Yet disagree so strongly on this.

Advice?

such as chuck and larry. the whole movie is filled with corny/raunchy jokes about homosexuality "my dad says you're butt pirates" and there are lots of women who are nearly nude including several women leaning over with tiny shorts on leaving a large portion of their butts exposed. are we breeding adolescent boys to be little hornballs? and are adolescent girls destined to be body conscious?

I was just wondering because some Christians seem to have gotten the idea that they invented marriage. Nearly every civilization practices some form of marriage and has for thousands of years. When marriage originated it had nothing to do with religion, but was practiced for economic reasons. Why do Christians believe that marriage is invalid if it goes against their bible, when marriage has been practiced long before the bible was written, and the majority of the world's population doesn't believe in the teachings of their bible anyway? Oh and please don't ignore my original question, When Hindus get married, do you consider their marriage invalid?

I believe speaking in tongues means you are understood by all who hear you no matter their language. Lots of people have interpreted speaking in tongues to essentially mean people will generally not understand you.

So I am a Christian, and know and believe that sex is to be conserved for marriage. That aside, I'm curious what others believe in regards to BDSM (bondage,etc). Do you believe sex involving any form of BDSM is God pleasing? Right? Wrong? Why or why not?
