There are many debates on homosexual marriages...

one point of argument is that we should not change the way marriage has been for thousand of years. yet, not very long ago marriage was forbidden among different races.

until 1967 that the anti-miscengenation law was passed, it was illegal in 30 out of 48 states for a black man to marry a white woman or visa versa.

yet, the laws where changed and many biracial couples have wed.

what is the difference? should that change never have happened either?

just want to know your thoughts.

the amount of spouses is not in question... homosexuals don't want to marry 2 other men. they want to marry one other man.

don't compare to animals either, because that is just ignorant.

I say, call it a "civil union," and give it the same benefits as "marriage". That way, the religious can have their way and the homosexuals can have theirs.
Personally, I don't give a crap who "marries" who.
Keep it to yourself.

After all, ALL marriages are just civil unions, anyway. Legal, binding contract between two consenting adults.

My big question is what is the point of a gay marriage? Why do they not just go to a lawyer and draw up partnership papers or corporate papers and live together as partners or what ever.

Oh I see then they could not get the benefits that are designed by laws for the partnership of a man and a woman even though they are not a man and a woman. In my view it is like a sole proprietor in a business wanting to get corporation benefits of a corporation wanting to get sole proprietor benefits.

In gay marriages I see some people want to have their cake and eat it also. It to me is like giving the accused more rights than the victims in a crime OK

That's my view and of course others can have theirs OK. I can and will accept that as their position.

What is wrong with keeping marriage between a man and a woman? If we allow homosexual marriage, then a man will want 2 wives, then a woman will want 2 husbands, etc. Do you see where we are going?

Neither gay marriage nor miscegenation should be against the law, because the government has no business regulating what is and is not a marriage . . . particularly not on religious grounds, of which both of those prohibitions are/were reflective.

Whether either is a good idea, time and culture and society will decide.

I am all for gay marrage. it shouldent be an issue they are not gay people in my mind they are just people. and people should be allowed to marry whom ever they wish. ( as long as they arnt minors and its concentual) I also beleive adults should be allowed to be polygamist if that is what all parties involved want. and how do you know that there arnt some homosexuals out there who wouldent want to have the right to marry more then one partner?

Here's the way I look at it, who is being harmed, and does it increase people's freedom. The answer to the first question is nobody and the answer to the second is yes, then I'm in favor of it.

"What is the difference?"

The law you refer to is based on racism, and thank God was changed.

The DIFFERENCE is that the other is between two individuals of the SAME sex!!!!

How hard is it to understand that two people of the same sex can NOT create children, and is OBVIOUSLY " against nature!
