there is the most marvelous online video you all can enjoy with music and pics and all, it can be so blessing. Search out "Father's Love Letter" and watch it and let me know what you think.And for the atheists, agnostics, witches, Satanists, I pretty much already know what you think of it, so you can save your breath. or words

How come on yahoo answers (religion) the only questions that are really on here are the ones about being a freaking atheist or not believing in God?? Watch, the only people that will respond to this will be atheists or devil people. I don't care if you write negative mean things about me or what I believe in b/c you’re just an attention seeker...I LOVE JESUS!!!!!!!!!

I wish someone could explain to me why we can't have a religious/spiritual site and not be continually attacked by the atheists and agnostics and all. I feel they have a right to choose, but not to choose to rain on our parade because like when I ask "what is the name of this song" people don't usually come in and beat me up for my question. This is question and answer, NOT QUESTION AND OPINION

I once had a work colleague who tried to convince me that I should embrace spirituality rather than atheism.

When I told him there was no evidence to support what he was pushing on me, he responded by telling me about a "course" he'd done in spirituality.

He said that it had to be true, because the guy running the course had spent his whole life studying spirituality.

When I asked him if that made all the priests, Rabbis, witch doctors, etc. true as well, he didn't understand where I was coming from.

It seemed to me, that because he wanted to believe in spirituality (by this, I'm talking believing in ghosts, angels, reincarnation and truckloads of other out there stuff), he chose anything he grab hold of it to validate his beliefs, whether logical or not.

Isn't this really what all religious people do?

Why are they so adamant that illogical ideas are true?

I have my own form of religion cause i cant go to church they always give me the same $hit ''your going to hell if you cant pray'' ''or your going to hell if you dont confess''
''your going to hell if you dont go to church'' ''not being a christian puts you under satans control'' and then get angry at you for disagreeing its retarded what ever happened to the regular church goer now you cant walk up in to a church without the bible thrown at ya. BUT i mean dam if thats all true then thousands of other religions go to hell if though some of them are better like buddhism wich is true peace and simple life with no sin or pressures from the outside world and they dont harm another person so if they go to hell then The Creator sucks

Did Jesus not defeat satan at Calvery? And if so, to say otherwise, is to deny the power of our Lord.

I don't believe in tithing because everything already belongs to God. It seems to me that the function of giving something is a form of sacrifice.

As far as charity, is it the act of giving money or alleviating suffering. If a billionare gives $10,000 to a build an orphanage but a poor person can give only $50 to feed the orphans for a week, whose sacrifice is

Someone answered my last question by saying "I see the NT as being in harmony with the OT"

What the?????

Has the guy ever read any of either one?

OT= Do as I say or I'll wipe you out in a really heavy handed manner.

NT=Invented Jesus dude suggests people try being nice to each other.

I can remember as a kid in the catholic church, they were very selective about which bits of the OT to push onto everyone, and most of it was dismissed as just stories.

Apart from both the OT & NT being works of fiction, what could people find they have in harmony with each other?

This is an excerpt of a Y/A user opinion:

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

I do not agree that atheists are far more clever than believers - I think that atheists merely THINK they are. Actually, they are foolish to put faith in what they perceive to be their intelligence.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

How do you reply to it? What are you thoughts?

I recently went to a Catholic church and although I am a recovering cathaholic from childhood, out of respect for those who live their lives somewhat civilly, I did receive communion. The Catholics believe that the host and wine are the actual Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. I am a Forgive Affirmed Spirit and I believe that all matter represents other matter back to the Creator and so that there is just as much Jesus in that Host as there is Me or You and or all other matter. And so with that belief system that I find to be of a Higher Power than that of any other religion, I give myself permission to take communion whereever I go.

1-2 Honor and enjoy your Creator while you're still young,
Before the years take their toll and your vigor wanes,
Before your vision dims and the world blurs
And the winter years keep you close to the fire.
3-5 In old age, your body no longer serves you so well. Muscles slacken, grip weakens, joints stiffen.
The shades are pulled down on the world.
You can't come and go at will. Things grind to a halt. The hum of the household fades away.
You are wakened now by bird-song. Hikes to the mountains are a thing of the past. Even a stroll down the road has its terrors. Your hair turns apple-blossom white, Adorning a fragile and impotent matchstick body. Yes, you're well on your way to eternal rest, While your friends make plans for your funeral. 6-7 Life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over. Life as we know it, precious and beautiful, ends. The body is put back in the same ground it came from. The spirit returns to God, who first breathed it. Ep 12 M

Most of the modern world is familiar with Mother Teresa of Calcutta. It is common knowledge that she devoted her life to the care of the discarded lives of Indian society to the degree that she physically picked up dying human beings and cared for them the best she could in their final moments on Earth. What is not so common knowledge is that she kept a diary, and part of what she wrote was about her prayer life. She apparently spent 35 years praying to God without any indication God even received her prayers. It is reported she wrote that her prayers, while sent to God in heaven, came falling down on her like a multitude of sharp pointy daggers. Shortly before her death, while in the United States, she was witnessed as being "bubbly and full of joy," a stark contrast to the suffering she lived most of her life. Take from this what you will; she is reported to have shared that God was permitting her to experience Heaven while still alive.
I will now share with you some of her wisdom:

Is there a definate law within the religeon that forbids work on sundays? In the case of factories changing shifts to include weekends, would they be able to argue that a Mormon CAN work on Sundays? Could you provide the website or pages where the information is held.
