1-2 Honor and enjoy your Creator while you're still young,
Before the years take their toll and your vigor wanes,
Before your vision dims and the world blurs
And the winter years keep you close to the fire.
3-5 In old age, your body no longer serves you so well. Muscles slacken, grip weakens, joints stiffen.
The shades are pulled down on the world.
You can't come and go at will. Things grind to a halt. The hum of the household fades away.
You are wakened now by bird-song. Hikes to the mountains are a thing of the past. Even a stroll down the road has its terrors. Your hair turns apple-blossom white, Adorning a fragile and impotent matchstick body. Yes, you're well on your way to eternal rest, While your friends make plans for your funeral. 6-7 Life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over. Life as we know it, precious and beautiful, ends. The body is put back in the same ground it came from. The spirit returns to God, who first breathed it. Ep 12 M

I am happy in the Lord in my old age,but we do live on earth and it isn't fun when one's body is giving out on them, ask most older folks.If you are young, you don't know yet !@

Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
But we as Christians can even enjoy the "golden years". And we have the hope of being with God forever !!!!

Here are some helpful Scriptures:

We love long life with satisfaction: Ps 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.

We shall be fruitful and youthful when old: Ps 92:14 They shall bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing.

Our youth can be renewed like the eagle's: Ps 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

THe old by waiting on the Lord can renew their strength: Isa 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

The Holy Spirit can give life to our mortal bodies: Rom 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Whatever our age our inner man can be renewed day by day: 2 Cor 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.

We can live forever: John 6:58 This is the bread which came down from heaven – not as your fathers ate the manna and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.
