What is the value of morality? It's greatest value is in allowing people to live close to each other in relative peace. A hermit doesn't really need morality because he interacts with nobody else.

Humanism recognizes this and has a list of morals whose focus is, "That which is good for humanity". It isn't a fixed list, but fixed lists all have limited value anyways.

I am so happy that I have added you to my contact list.

This is something I have been struggling with, and haven't really come up with the best answers. It's like trying to cover up with a blanket that's to small. Any code seems to leave something uncovered.

I do think that the idea behind Humanism makes sense, morals based on human compassion, guided by reason.

I started typing out a list, but gads, I would be at it all day. I will think on this and get back to you.

There is, I suppose, one underlying thought to what compassion means for me, to treat others as I would be treated.

It's okay to sleep with someone just to see if the chemistry is there. Next thing you know you're about 10 - 30 people deep into sexual partners and still haven't found the right one. Sad Sad Sad!!!! Spreading diseases and unwanted pregnancies, stalker boyfriends and crazy ex girlfriends. Cheating on each other and what not. Then we cry the blues when someone cheats on us. We should value our bodies a bit more.

Moral thinking is just thinking.

Morality is not just thinking, but DOING what is RIGHT and GOOD.

Example: When someone does you wrong, and you wait for them to confess what they have done to you. But say you go to them and try to discuss their wrong and what it caused in your life.

But they say, I didn't do anything wrong, I can't help how you feel. It was your fault......

Now you can think how you can morally handle this, or Just forgive them and leave them in GOD'S hands.

The hardest things to do is forgive and pray and HELP someone who has hurt you, and claims that they don't need your forgiveness.
Let GOD deal with them, and let them see how GOD blesses a forgiver.

I'm not Wiccan but i adopt a Wiccan saying for my life. It seems to cover just about anything in life: "An it harm none, do what ye will." (If your actions harm none mentally and physically, with the exception of self defense, then do as you will.)
