Obama said that if elected president, he plans to institute sex education starting in Kindergarden AND provide abortions through more government programs, which I don't understand since 1: the government already subsidizes the wholesale killing of our pre-born children through Medicaid (a government program) and 2: this would further force people like yourself who oppose this practice to pay more in tax dollars to support abortions. Better think about that before voting!!

If God's message has remained the same from the beginning of time, then why can't people who believe in him all agree on that message?

Eons and eons of existence should be enough time to discern, interpret, and communicate that message, should it not?

I was working in a nursing home. I don't remember anyone being very disturbed or shocked by the event, including the elderly clients who saw it on the news. Although most did agree it was nasty.

If He is coming with all His splendor and majesty, and those who rejected Him and mocked Him, will ask for the rocks to fall on them. Why do they do that? and How can we avoid being one of them.

Can anyone make me believe life after death exists?

What do you think of a gay man say on Myspace that has 50 blogs and 45 out of that 50 are about being gay and gay sex?

Why do gay men act like that?

Imagine being left handed. Imagine posting 50 blogs, and 45 out of those 50 are about being left handed...why?

Or even on here, where you will see a gay dude and all he asks is Gay related question, and all he answers are gay related....sad...

I think it's almost as sad as the boy in the bubble..which by the way at least had a deck of cards....sigh...ok thats a simpsons joke ..my bad..

point is...life is not about being gay, left handed or whatever. It should be more than that...

It just makes me feel sad to know that there are people like that.

Seems like science disproved the Earth was flat a long time ago.
Why don't creationists give it up and accept that the Earth evolved as a celestial body just like any other planet?

They say "by the spirit". What's the reason the Church insist in interpret "by the letter". Do you think it's too late? Where would we go to hear the true meaning of the Bible?

Please take no disrespect from this question, I am merely curious about this belief. I, myself, believe in evolution.

As for people who do not believe in creationism, please do not use this as an opportunity to mock the beliefs of others. Certainly, that is not the behavior of an intellectual.

Personally, I see absolutely nothing wrong with pride. Jack is proud as a peacock and makes no bones about it. I've also observed that this biblical maxim does not play out as a general rule in the real world. I think it more likely that foolishness goes before a fall.

I wonder if the religious-minded discourage pride because self-confident individuals do not make for good converts.

Your thoughts?

Personally, I would say about 25%. Maybe 100 to 150 out of 550. And why do many refer to these "victims" as survivors?
A survivor, the last I checked, means someone who survives a deadly encounter.

Are u contributing to doomsday?ar u happy with wat u have done so far in life? way i see it life is like a exam in the end who studied will get through there exams others will fail.but in life there is only one chance either u go to hell or heaven.

I wanted to argue with the non believers who said this area is belief/opinion so I looked it up and they are correct in saying belief and opinion fall into the same category in the dictionary and thesaurus so see, I am honest, BUT, FOR A CHRISTIAN, Believing in God is all about TRUST, and it is like if you fall backwards would you believe someone might catch you or would you trust someone to catch you ?????????/ I'd rather have trust myself, like I do in God.

I know sometimes people get offended by such and idea. In defense of this I will tell you why I see it fit. African Americans suffered mindless discrimination and yes, It was more extreme as they were held as slaves, legally. Now, that we have established that the African American communities treatment was more extreme. I do not want people to think that as homosexuals we are trying to take away what is theirs as I would not compare the discriminate today to that off 250 yrs ago....

On the other hand, you cannot deny some of the similarities as we are both discriminated for something we cannot change and what has made these discriminations possible is usually the same religous conservative groups as this type of hate is a very old, deep seet root of our humanity. I guess what I am trying to say is I can understand why african americans get upset when comparing ourselves to them but they shouldnt it just means that we relate to their struggle.

and what do u think?

The Watch-maker theory goes something like this:

You are walking in the desert, and come across a watch. Do you assume the watch just naturally originated there through natural processes, or do you assume it was made by a watch-maker?

This is the Intelligent Design advocate's way of saying that because the parts and functions of a watch are carefully crafted to do what it does, it requires a designer to make it that way.

Thus, because we are complex, we too must require a Designer.

You following this logic?

(o.O)

But I must ask, has anyone examined the DNA of a watch?
Has anyone seen two watches doing it in the bushes?

Without DNA and reproductive sex, there is very little evolution occurring.

Actually, there is no evolution occurring without DNA and reproductive sex.

A watch has about as much in common with us as granite.

Do you have any hoary chestnuts like this one you'd like to throw into the Tea Party's Lake of Fire?

I'm an atheist, but my bf is Catholic. I respect all religions and the people who worship them, but we always have this debate:

My bf admits that with the life he has led and things he's done in the past God may not be giving him a thumbs for them, but he says that all one has to do is repent and they'll be forgiven. He says that God will know who is really sorry or not.

But to me that sounds like an easy way into heaven! If people are not living their lives holy everyday, and doing things they know are wrong but just feeling they can repent for them later isn't that too easy?

If the apocalypse (if that exists) were happening tomorrow, would everyone be repenting until the end, hoping that God would forgive them? Why do they have to wait until there is trouble, why not just live your life right to begin with, or repent the next day?

Please no rude answers, but I'd like to a variety of opinions...thanks!
