If true, that's really, really creepy. Especially because the best way to groom a child to be sexually abused is to take away their sense of modesty and teach them all about sex at an early age. That goes for the so-called "good touch/bad touch" programs. You should read the studies on those, because they are modeled after what they teach GROWN WOMEN and for kids, there is a devastating psychological effect as they are exposed to too much sexual information too soon. All pedophiles do that exact thing to their victims. So if what you say is accurate (it would be helpful for you to provide links), what Obama is suggesting is state-sanctioned -- or worse, state-mandated -- grooming of children to become victims of childhood sexual assault.
I wish I could say I was surprised or something about his view on abortion, but let's face it. He thinks he can't get elected without protecting a "woman's right to choose."

My answer to Obama is that he is a nut. Children of that age could not understand nor should they the subject of sex education. They are too young to be concerned with ADULT matters. I did not know how any of that stuff until I was at least nine or ten years old. About abortions: I truely think it should be banned for this smiple reason. I am fifteen and I have a friend who had her baby aborted. Do you think she will have sex again if she doesn't have to pay for her mistakes? Of course she will. The government provides a means of not paying for your mistakes and so I think it abortion was no longer a means of ridding your self of a burden, less people would have sex outside of marrige and less unwanted children.

When and where did he say this?
The abortion thing he's probably just trying to make it safer. If your 14 year old daughter wants an abortion, and will get one no matter what, it's better that she has a safe way to do it than go to some shady place that she can afford and think is discrete. That's the main problem with making abortions illegal: people will still have them, but it will be much more dangerous.
The sex ed thing I wouldn't worry about either. It sounds like a lie made up by the extreme right side. If anything it will probably be learning basic anatomy in kindergarten. They're aware of their body parts, they just call them things like "wee wees" and "hoo hoos." May as well teach them accurate terminology.

He said age appropriate sex education - in kindergarden that would be very simple such a how to avoid molestation (the good touch\bad touch think) and that babies come from Mommy and not from the stork....
As far as abortions - that would not necessarily increase abortions. It would just help people financially who have a hard time paying for them.
And if proper sex education were present in schools , at all levels, there would be less abortions.

I don't plan to vote for Obama - OR Hillary!
I'm hoping to either home-school my granddaughter or that my daughter will put her in a Christian school. The only kind of "sex education" kindergarteners need is to be taught the difference between "good touches" and "bad touches"....and frankly, parents should start teaching their children about that as soon as they start potty training their children!

I think gun safety courses should also be instituted beginning in kindergarten. After all, according to liberal principles, it would decrease gun violence. Oh wait, liberal policies always fail. Remember that queen in France who said, "Let them eat cake?" (not the kind of cake we know). Well, the liberals policy is "Let them have sex."

the sex-ed for kindergardeners is a good idea. kids need to know about their bodies and they need to know what counts as inappropriate actions, so if one of these children is being mollested, they understand what's going on and it will give them leverage to tell on their attacker.

You don't understand his stance, you don't understand where your tax money goes, and you most certainly don't understand the inner aspects of abortion. You don't need an answer.
