In Jesus's time there were no Mexicans. There were Native peoples living in the area that is now Mexico. But the Mexican is a part Spanish and a part Native.
Jeshua is purely Jewish. Immanuel is purely Jewish. It was the Spanish who adopted the latin form of Jeshua, Jesus.

The name Jesus was imported into Mexico by the Catholic Spanish.
And into Spain by Christians from the other end of the Mediterranean. The Holy Land.

His name was Yeshua (Hebrew form of Joshua), but the Latin form is Jesus. The Spanish adopted the name, just as we have adopted the names Peter, Paul, Joshua, James, etc.

LOL! Jesus is the English/Spanish translation of His name in Hebrew (Yeshua). Kinda like Steven in English is equivalent to Stash in Polish or John in English is equivalent to Juan in Spanish.
