both are just lessons of faith.

what I am saying is that if you look up the definition prophet it says: A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of a god is expressed. So that is fine, Mohommad has a strong faith in God and preaches the word. People must have faith in Mohommad to be telling it from God's perspective....so Jesus is like an example of God also because he brings to light faith in God in people as well.

You are right. There are no differences. The only difference Islamically might have been the position Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received in comparison with other prophets, but that's beyond the point. Both came to spread the word of Allah.

According to Islamic belief, the Prophet Muhammad was the last Messenger of God. He, like all of God's prophets and messengers - such as Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus -- was only a human being. Christians came to the mistaken assumption that Muslims worship Muhammad by formulating an incorrect analogy - they worship Jesus so they assumed Muslims worship Muhammad. This is one of the reasons that they called Muslims by the incorrect name "Mohammedans" for so many years! Muhammad, like Jesus, never claimed divine status. He called people to worship only Almighty God, and he continually emphasized his humanity so that people would not fall into the same errors as Christians did in regards to Jesus. In order to prevent his deification, the Prophet Muhammad always said to refer to him as "the Messenger of God and His slave". Muhammad was chosen to be God's final messenger --- to communicate the message not only in words but to be a living example of the message. Muslims love and respect him because he was of the highest moral character and he brought the Truth from God - which is the Pure Monotheism of Islam. Even when Islam was in its very early stages, God revealed that Muhammad "was sent as a mercy to all of mankind" - thus informing us that the message of Islam would become very widespread. Muslims strive to follow the great example of Muhammad, peace be upon him, but they do not worship him in any way. Additionally, Islam teaches Muslims to respect all of God's prophets and messengers - but respecting and loving them does not mean worshipping them. All true Muslims realize that all worship and prayer must be directed to Almighty God alone. Suffice it to say that worshipping Muhammad --- or anyone else --- along with Almighty God is considered to be the worst sin in Islam. Even if a person claims to be Muslim, but they worship and pray to other than Almighty God, this cancels and nullifies their Islam. The Declaration of Faith of Islam makes it clear that Muslims are taught only to worship God. This declaration is as follows: "There is nothing divine or worthy of being worshipped except for Almighty God, and Muhammad is the Messenger and Servant of God".

Your question needs elboration of perspective.

Similarities and differances are obvious in them.
As regards the Faith, both were calling people towards The God Almighty in their own ways.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)was luky to have sincere and faithfull companions who promoted the message of Islam without any alteration or change. They were redy to die for his message! They never tried to add or substract any thing in Islam. That is why our Holy Scripture - Quran is still in its original form and text - there is only one version for all.

Unfortunately, Jesus christ had no such followers!
His disciples left him when he needed them most?
St.Peter and Paul started their own religion and the original teachings of Jesus christ were nailed on the Cross.

Some remaining portion of Bible still pointing to another prophet - obviously Muhammad - but church would never accept this fact.

I SHALL PRAY FATHER TO GIVE YOU A HELPER(PROPHET).
I HV MANY THING TO SAY BUT YOU SHALL NOT UNDERSTAND NOW...WHEN HE SHALL COME ... YOU SHALL REMEMBER...

No Christian bothers for the Lord. What he wanted to say to his people?? They have made him a God without his will.

I DO THINGS WITH THE FINGER OF GOD.
I CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT THE WILL OF MY FATHER.

Gospel of Barnebas clearly names that prophet as Muhammad but the same has been rejected by church!

Jesus and Muhammad taught us about one God.
Muhammad testified Jesus as prophet of God.
Muhammad accepted his birth as a miracle of God.
Word of God is not a God.

The present christianity is just Paulism!!

it incredibly is thoroughly fake to bracket Jesus after Yashua to make Yeshua seem to be same as Jesus. Yeshua is a version of Jeshua, Jashua, Joshua, Yashua and interprets "Jah is Salvation" or "Yah is Salvation" mutually as Jesus is a mixture of Jah and Zeus, exchange into created by Pontius Pilate because of the fact the call for 2 crucified thieves, with the belief being that Jah is salvation and Zeus is comparable to Jah so Zeus is Salvation besides and Jesus is salvation. Christ is the identify of the Messiah and Christ or Messiah skill Anointed or Rubbed. God of the Bible is Zeus and the Bible is the Hoax of the crucifixion wherein 2 thieves have been crucified decrease than the call of Jesus. be conscious of God by your concept is the be conscious of Zeus yet there is in simple terms one God and One God controls all that guy can fabricate so as that the Bible seems to be a hoax that explains the hoax mutually because it encourages fake theory for the gullible and the lazy and for people who experience the Bible can provide them a extreme-high quality preparation while they're incredibly conned into lack of know-how. Take care!

1. The miracles of Jesus and Moses, it is true, were very remarkable; but the fact remains that in spite of their remarkability, they did not induce the people of their times to believe in those prophets or to adhere to their teachings. History informs us that the Israelites did not follow the Prophet Moses after he showed them all his wonders. After they crossed the sea on their feet, they showed no true adherence to his teaching. After he went to the mountain to receive the commandments, he came back to find them straying from the Divine road. Jesus was followed by multitudes, but when the crisis came, he was deserted even by his own disciples.

People, in general, never were induced by those wonders to adhere to the heavenly teachings. When they witnessed supernatural performances, the majority of them called their performers magicians and impostors.

Had the same kind of miracles been repeated at the time of Mohammad, it would not have produced better results than it did before. For this, the type of miracles had to be changed .

2. Suppose that those miracles of Moses and Jesus were very productive, causing their witnesses to believe in the truthfulness of their performers. The fact remains that they were not permanent but only temporary miracles. No action can be seen twice. No action would last long. Making a blind see his way or bringing a dead back to life is a remarkable action, but such an action disappears as soon as it is done. As soon as the action is finished, it becomes history. Those who did not see it have to rely on the testimony of those who had seen it.

A prophet that will be followed by another prophet may rely on a remarkable performance in convincing his contemporaries. He does not have to worry about the future generations who will not see his miracles, because he can rely on the prophet who will come after him at a different period. The subsequent prophet will perform his own miracles, and he will endorse the prophet who preceded him.

With Mohammad, the case is different. He was the Final of the prophets. He could not rely on any miraculous action, because no action can last long enough to be seen by other generations. Nor could he rely on the endorsement of a subsequent prophet, because he is the Final of the prophets. He had to rely on some miracle, but his miracle must be from a different type. It has to be a lasting miracle to be witnessed and tested by the future generations as well as by his contemporaries.

In a time when there was neither camera nor film to make one action witnessable at various times, we cannot conceive any kind of lasting miracles except the type of speech. When a speech is superb and recorded in a book, its superiority can be witnessed and tested at any time by any generation. If it is unmatchable, it will stay so forever, and its superiority can be judged by all generations. This is the type of miracle which is fitting for a final prophet, and this was the reason why Mohammad was equipped with the Holy Qur'an as evidence of his truthfulness.

I think you have been studying the wrong lessons.

The Jesus I know is the one who created the heavens and the earth, and all that is seen and unseen.

God is not merely a "lesson of faith".

In fact, anyone who would believe what you propose doesn't need much faith at all.

oh ok. So this muhommad guy was born by a virgin and was given power to raise people from the dead and you keep a calender of time from the day he was born to always remember he was the son of God and that only through him we can be forgiven of our sins and be made new again?

Hmm, what a coincidence!

I think they both started a religion because they were different. It is true that they are both a lesson of faith but if you believe in one or the other you will see that they are probably different than what they seem.

Quite a difference, Anna. Please read "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy" at www.revelado.org/islam.htm

Medieval Christians watched as Israel, North Africa, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Southern France, the Balkan Nations, etc., fell to evangelizing Muslims, and knew that it was a judgment of God and described in advance in the Bible. Read the link above.

They are totally different and to a lot of muslims reading that they would find it an insult.

It would be fair to say that a lot of the key points each figurehead holds share the same weight but there are a lot of differences between them, mainly that they believe in a different god.

Allah and God are not the same thing although a lot of people believe they are.
