Here's the story - My Ex-husband became a Born Again Christian. I was not willing to 'convert'. His 'church' pressured him to disvorce me.

He then 'shacked up' with a 'good christian lady' (who they knew to be an alcoholic). The Church then pressured them to get married because the Church doesn't accept them 'living in sin'.

BAC, please justify the above chain of events

The Dying Preacher
An old preacher was dying. He sent a message for his IRS agent and his Lawyer (both church members), to come to his home. When they arrived, they were ushered up to his bedroom.

As they entered the room, the preacher held out his hands and motioned for them to sit on each side of the bed. The preacher grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and stared at the ceiling.

For a time, no one said anything. Both the IRS agent and Lawyer were touched and flattered that the old preacher would ask them to be with him during his final moment.

They were also puzzled because the preacher had never given any indication that he particularly liked either one of them.

Finally, the Lawyer asked, "Preacher, why did you ask the two of us to come?"

The old preacher mustered up some strength, then said weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves, and that's how I want to go, too.

Just wondering how many there are around here. If so, what is your background? I accepted Christ in my car but had been going to a Church of God for a year prior, and then for a year after. We moved to FL and have been at a Calvary Chapel ever since.

The Greeks asked Paul, "May we know what this NEW teaching is that you are presenting? You are BRINGING some strange ideas to our ears, and we want to know what they mean" (Acts 17:19)

He was preaching about the resurrection. People always say this relates to Horus and Mithra. Yet the Greeks had no clue as to this "resurrection" thing. They even thought it strange. Doesn't this kind of close the book about the idea of the Christians taking from Greek mythology?

Your thoughts?

There’s a town that is supposedly “haunted by ghosts” that people go to visit.
We were walking around the town, and we stopped into the Post Office. So I walk into an office, which is just an empty room, with a desk and chair in a corner. I climb over the desk and sit in the chair, and wait for my family to get bored too so we can go. What I remember is feeling a hand grab me on my right shoulder. At first, I thought it was my brother playing a trick on me, but nobody else was in the room. I guess I was a little freaked out, so I quickly exited the room.
That night, we went on a ghost tour and the tour guide finally took us around to the post office. He told us that a man was confined to the post office, because the jail was full. He said that one of the builders working on the post office reported the feeling of being strangled by invisible hands. He took us to the room that it had happened in…and yep, it was the exact room I had felt the hand in.

Is that spooky?

I mean if you had to write a definition for Webster's dictionary. If you were given a chance to change the current definition, what would it be. Think here! "Unconditional" No matter what I say, no matter what I do, no matter what I think, and time is not a factor! Best answer gets the points and the respect!

Jesus said we have a new covenant and two things were tantatmount. First to love God with all your heart and next to love each other. I think God put me here not as a test of my faithfulness, but rather as a test to those around me as to how well they love their fellow man.

I'm not going to be made to feel like some kind of deviant simply because I privately love differently. I've been with one man in my life, for 24 years and thats not about to change. Thats more than half my life yet my devotion has never waivered. I think I've got a good track record of following what Jesus told us all to do.

This occasionally happens.

Because many who support legalized abortion claim that they believe that it's no different than any other operation, I'm not worried about offending them.

The following is an excerpt from the experience of a former abortionist:

"I remember getting called down to my chairman's office because a young lady that I had done an abortion on showed up, and the abortion had been incomplete. I had not done my job right, and she passed an arm or a leg and she freaked out because she didn't realize what had happened." -Former Abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino
