Jesus said we have a new covenant and two things were tantatmount. First to love God with all your heart and next to love each other. I think God put me here not as a test of my faithfulness, but rather as a test to those around me as to how well they love their fellow man.

I'm not going to be made to feel like some kind of deviant simply because I privately love differently. I've been with one man in my life, for 24 years and thats not about to change. Thats more than half my life yet my devotion has never waivered. I think I've got a good track record of following what Jesus told us all to do.

Dude, I heard a sermon this weekend about how Jesus was a gay rights activist. It focused on Jesus' healing of a Roman centurion's servant (Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10). Current scholarship indicates that the word used to describe the servant indicates that he was probably the Centurion's male lover.

Here is a link with some info.

Homosexuality and the bible will always confuse me. I guess we will all find the answer to that when we die. As a Christian I have not found an answer that satisfies me on this subject. God doesn't make mistakes yet some people are born to be gay. So, how can it really be a sin if God does not make mistakes. I don't get it yet. I am not talking about those who choose to be gay or can go either way either. As a Christian I will never judge a gay person or look down on them in any way and I find your theory interesting and thought provoking.

Ahhh, don't listen to them. They know not of which they speak.

If there was anything I could say to make people understand things, I would say it, but no amount of logic or wisdom can crack some people's skulls.

No matter what anyone says, I believe (and there is science) that homosexuality is a condition, just like depression (I'm sorry if that makes it sounds bad) that has no "cure." You are no less a person and no less moral by my standards.

I know not why you are the way you are any more than I know why I am the way I am (and I am straight), but if our God is half the God we consider him to be then worry not. Perhaps some day the others will understand.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

If God had made you gay, there would be no women in the world or the other way around, if God made women gay there would be no men.(Romans1:26-30)But, I think you are confusing love with Lust. Many people do, when Jesus said that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves, he did not mean, that we should go and have sex with everyone,it was to be considerate of everyone and treat them with respect, and loving concern, not make them sin in lust without being married, since the Bible does say, that sex is only for married couples not for unmarried couples. This is not my judgement for I am not fit to judge, only one person has that right,God, for he created us all, and he has a purpose for creating us.Yes the first commandment that Jesus gave was to love God with all ourt heart mind and soul, that means above anything or anyone else, and to love God means to be obedient to him.

Jesus also said not to offend. He informed his apostles that if they knew that someone was offended to see someone eating meat then not to do so, so as not to offend. Personally, I don't care what you do with your life, it's your life, but don't throw your life in my face. That's the biggest problem that people have with gay people and that is that gay people today are out there throwing it in your face. I was not offended by you until you started talking about being gay and how you have every right to be. You have the right to be what you want to be but you have no right to offend me. That's the point I"m trying to make. During the time of Christ gay people were called enochs. It is written that some were born that way, some were made that way by man, and some chose to be that way. I don't know which one pertains to you but I do know that you can choose to follow God's path and overcome that obstacle. It can be taken from you, but that is your choice. Either way, no matter what choice you make, a person can be gay without being offendingly gay.

Ya know what, I think you're right. I mean, even if homosexuality is a sin, being cruel to homosexuals let alone anyone is a sin as well. People mock you for sinning, but yet they are sinning as well. Perhaps their sin worse. I think Jesus would rather have everyone be kind to one another than everyone be perfect.

After all, one is suppossed to hate the sin not the sinner.

As an atheist I have to disagree with your premise. But as a former Christian I can clearly see your point and I think you make a good one.

Ok then. I understand, if you want to be with the man then there is no more use in me talking to you about it. I wish you the best of luck, and may God bless in all that you do.
