Christian Century is a good source of current topics in religion etc...Sojourners also. Books: Spong, Borg, Nouwen, Buechner, Gomes, Parker Palmer, Merton. Theology I like Niebuhr, Tillich, Barth, Bonhoeffer, Brueggeman, Reuther. I guess I became convinced they were reliable because they have been studied and discussed and tested in the academic world.

I've read, seen, heard spiritual info from so many sources, I couldn't even begin to list them all. Recently I've read "The Cost of Discipleship" and I'm now reading "Ethics" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who speaks against "easy" Christianity, I've read countless number of Watchtower/Awake mags and Watchtower Society publications for Jehovah's Witnesses, I've watched Joel Osteen, and The Key of David on TV, and have also seen Joel Osteen in person and read his book "Your Best Life Now", I've read "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, I've read the "Our Daily Bread" Daily Devotionals from RBC Ministries, I've received several booklets and emails from The United Church of God, etc.

I do not mean to list these a form of bragging rights whatsoever, because no book, TV show, pamphlet, study guide, radio show, or any other device has been as inspiring or as helpful to me as the plain and simple truth found in God's Word the Holy Bible. Believe me, I've definitely searched many other sources, and have yet to find one as accurate and as meaningful as the Bible. I just wish the Bible was read more for what it IS (God's inspired word), and not for what we want to make it (whatever conforms to our own beliefs and standards).
