To say that Roman Catholiscism is the only true religion? How many anglicans are offended to the core by this old man's (ex hitler youth) overly pious decree? How can he still be allowed his primacy if he is so blind to the rather catholic world that embraces all colours, religions and creeds. I know that the pope himself talks with other religious leaders and imagine that God himself has time for even the buddhists. How can the leader of the Catholic church be so un-catholic?

Can you please tell me your favourite Biblical quotes of comfort in times of fear?

I collapsed yesterday morning (reasons still unknown) and smashed my face on the floor, nearly knocking out two of my front teeth. I have to go to the dentist in just over an hour, and i'm terrified. I was hoping to find some Biblical teachings that would help me.

Please don't respond saying that the Bible is not what I need, or that the Bible is useless, as I have recieved many responses just like this in previous questions, and while I respect the opinions of the posters and have no desire to change them, that's not what I need right now - I am asking a specific question, if you have no intention of answering it then please don't reply. Thank you.

1) We can't take care our elders
2) We are neglecting our children
3) We don't want to take care of our sick if they don't have medical insurance
4) I am not sure whether we have any moral and values any more
5) We don't have any respect for our intellectuals except for those self centered, greedy rich and bankers
6) No compassion, passion & care for other human beings. Where ever you go it is "me, me, me...
7) It is only your money not your education, manner, character or humanity what matters here in America
8) No body care how you get it, it is how much have what every body see..
9) To the most part kindness, politness and honesty is considred as a weakness or as a foolishness
10) You don't get job because you have BA, MA/MS, Phd or Scientist, you get it if you are affilated with powerful political organization like Rebuplican... , what is going on my fellow Americans?

The Jews asked Jesus whether the man (who was born blind) or his parents had sinned to cause it. How could he have sinned before he was born, unless he was reincarnated? Also, there are suggestions that people at the time believed that John the Baptist was the reincarnation of Elijah. Jesus seems to have taught something like karma when he says in the Sermon on the Mount that a person will not be released from punishment until he/she has paid the utmost farthing. It says in the Bible that a person will reap what he/she sows. It seems that belief in reincarnation was common at the time but that it has been suppressed afterwards by the church. (Some of the early Christians certainly believed it.)

I personally find reincarnation much more persuasive than the idea that you will be tortured for all eternity because your distant mythical ancestors stole a piece of fruit (unless you accept the torture and death of God's only son for your salvation).

how can there be 3 different persons in one god. why did jesus(peace be upon him) pray to GOD? why did he say "not my will but yours"? that would mean that GOD has 2 conflicting wills. why did jesus ask GOD "why have you forsaken me? jesus (pbuh) told his disciples that he didnt know when the end time would come, that only the father knew. how could all this be if all three persons are all god?
