Well, what is the content of the game? Violence, bloodshed, magic, sorcery, like that.

I'll tell you a story. My son and me moved to a new town on the west coast. Upon moving here, we started to attend the kingdom hall again and I decided what was I waiting for? I needed to get baptized, so after studying with my two teachers, and several months, I got baptized.

Later on at no insistence of mine, my son came to me and asked me about the games. I was so hoping for this moment and I could see that he was improving in his personal bible study and his studying with the brothers. His whole outlook on life and what was pleasing to God while serving God completely, not just half way, was remarkable. I allowed him to keep studying with the elders and other brothers.

One day he came to me with his whole video game collection and asked me what he should do with his violent games because he knew that these contained immoral and ungodly content. I asked him what would he think Jehovah would want him to do. About that time, a kid that he had met in our neighborhood came over and wanted to play these games. My son said "No. I just don't play these kind of games anymore". The kid got so angry that he threw a fit and was raving his fists all about to a point where my son and I both picked up something to defend ourselves with in our own house??? I told the kid to leave and he looked at me with so much hate and anger, I just knew he was going to strike out, so my son and I both walked towards him and backed him out of the house.

This is what those violent games did to this kid. He was controlled by them, you know? That was his whole day was to come to our house and play these violent games. Now that my son stood up to the kid and said no more, this kid was violent so the moral is 'when you constantly play with violence, it changes you and becomes a part of you in your daily life. It all becomes a blur after a while.

My son later burned all the games instead of selling them. He would have made a lot of money on those games, but his devotion to serving Jehovah was much more than that of a few trinket, worldly material games full of sorcery and violence. I was so proud of my kid for doing the right thing. Later he came to me to tell me "Mom, I want to get baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I cried and hugged him and you know what he said? "What, mom? You have that little faith in me"? I said no, son. I have that much faith and more in you. I love you so much and I am the proudest momma in the world because you made the decisions you made to serve Jehovah God; I didn't have to make them for you....I just planted the seed.

Remember:

1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits

Great question. I hope you make great choices...it appears you will.

There are two flocks but one shepherd. Both groups follow the one shepherd and become one flock. United in serving Jehovah. I am not sure why you think Eph 4:4 is saying that we all have only one place to go. All it says is that there is one right religion, We all have one hope of eternal life whether it be in heaven or on earth. Other scriptures tell you that some will live on the paradise earth such as Psalm 37:29, Matthew 5:5, Matthew 6:10. God created man to live on earth. Not in heaven. The only reason 144,000 will go to heaven is to be co-rulers with Christ. These 144,000 have lived on earth and suffered the same things we have. Who better to help rule us than those who have walked in our shoes so to speak. If Adam and Eve had not sinned there would be no need for the 144,000 to rule over the earth because it would already be filled with perfect people. But it didn't work out that way.

So many good answers are here already. If you love Jehovah and Jesus and want to please them above all, you will see your way clear as to what to do.

Christians are told to "do all things for God's glory." Anything that is not to God's glory is something we don't really need.

A life of serving Jehovah and following Jesus Christ is more interesting and entertaining than any fantasy video game could ever be.

The matter of exactly what games a Christian plays are between himself and his Creator, if he is an adult. A Jehovah's Witness who insisted on playing violent video games would likely forfeit the possibility of congregation privileges for the duration, but would not be formally "reproved".

I agree with my brothers and sisters. you need to get rid of them. I was reading about the sister whose son had them and finally got rid of them. also like someone said, would Jesus Christ watch or play such games? I don't think so. please get rid of those games. remember the devil would want you to keep them. people who where Jehovah Witnesses and turned there back on Jehovah will tell you lies about us. don't pay attention to them.

Why do people ask us whether we are "allowed to" have or do things? As it is said over and over, there is no list of what we can watch or do. We are given principles from the Bible. We apply those principles.

So you need to learn those principles and then apply them as a mature Christian and you will make your own decision.

If you want to be a witness you might not want restricted or mature games in your home.
God will replace anything you give up for him with unimaginable joy. We are a peaceful people. When you become a servant of God you need to put on a new personality.
But it will come in time.

What promotes that games? love or hate and violence?
would you think the apostle John or paul will play a game like that?

if you trust your inner voice it has to be molded by bible principles, other wise you can trust in your conscience that is not trained to do I right choice.
