she says that she'd had dreams where demons have 'targetted' her, because they see her coming towards God and they want to try and break her down, and another of my christian friends have had the same experience.... what is it? have you had a similar experience?

I'm sure I would. Growing up surrounded by people who just happily accepted the catholic dogma, I found myself questioning it from a young age, while those around me, in my family and at school, just went along with it.

By the time I was ten, I had to question it big time, discarding catholism and starting on my long road to atheism.

No one encouraged me in this process. Once I'd started to question faith, the genie was out of the bottle.

I don't think I would have been able to avoid this in any cultural setting. My mind just can't accept illogical dogma or theism.

Is it the same for other atheists?

I awoke one morning to find someone had left a georgous book about Pompii and with it a white bible. As I am a book lover and so respect these I put an ad in the local shop hoping the owner would want the books back. that someone must have stolen.
Being a Christian it did not occur to me there was a filthy mind leaving the bible 'placed by Gideon' and the book about Pompii as a way of saying I was leading an unhealthy life style.
Anyone who thinks the people of Pompii were destroyed by the wrath of God needs their heads looked. No where in that book the bible does it state anything about about Pompii and those poor people who died a horrible death because of the volcanic eruption.
Although I am a book lover I am going to burn that bible and with it the filthy mind of the person named Gideon. I have a beauty that belonged to my wonderful father who died years ago.

planet and wouldn't be stubborn as to say 'I gave you free will so I cannot interfere' whilst watchinig milions of people perish in natural disaster.That is not a loving god is it? Also why is it religous people tell us 'interferes' to grant them prayers but won't interfere in these cases?. Is this yet another reason not to believe in the illogical 'god delusion'

It is so stupid all the energy spent on speculation , gossip and especially hatred. Why would any secure TRULY straight man really care if Bob down the street , at the days end, lays with Tom? Answer; He does not! If a man is always mouthing off about gays, he is surely not as secure in his sexuality as he is trying to portray. A man LOUDLY and often talking against Gays is trying to say, Dont WORRY about me. I hate gays!"
A real straight man is way more secure and rarely would even think of that, much less go on and on about. If most people knew what how quickly their property values would increase when a few gay guys move into a few houses in the neighborhood, fix them up, and begin to uplift the image of the area, they would be sending out invitations!
If you are truly STRAIGHT what does it take away from you if gays love each other. How is your life compromised if they can marry? It is not!
And anyway, Bob n Tom are probably having non sex like any other couple! :)

relationship. I don't know the details of why they went their separate ways, but they did. My girlfriend and I have been very close since we met 18 months ago; she was open from the beginning about the relationship, but not details on what happened. They didn't talk for awhile but email fairly frequently & privately ; recently she has been opening the door to visiting her friend again. My girlfirend is adamant that she was bi-curious and thinks women are beautiful, but does not want to pursue lesbian relationships in the future: with anyone. She has had 3 male relationships since, but they all ended badly. She is really special to me and we speak seriously of marrying in the next six months, but how real is "bi-curious" and does it really shut off for all eternity; how worried should I be about her staying in fairly close private contact with an old lover (male or female), and can her old girlfriend just become an old friend? I feel kinda left out in the cold about my feelings.

Yesterday I answered a question rather ignorantly. When I said that I had little respect for people that CALL THEMSELVES Satanists, I was referring to the thirteen year old kid in all black saying he worships Satan to get a rise out of his parents. I was NOT referring to the Satanist religion, which, even though the name makes no sense to me, I respect as a viable belief system.

I sincerely apologize for the laziness that I exhibited yesterday in my answer, forgetting all about the actual Satanist religion.

And to make this a question, does any Satanist know why the particular name was chosen?

Isn't he, all powerful majestic holy father. You can use all those words that are no where near as perfect as he is. God hung and died on a cross for me, I just wanted to express how truly happy I am, but here's a question, anyone know much on the tribulation? I want to look into that a bit.
