Well most don't, but we really need to just let the entire religion thing go. You know the answer, it is best to work in the light :-)

I believe the Bible is the only true word of God. However, I believe the answer to your question is this. Each and every religion, (i.e. Christianity, islam, whatever your choice is) tells a certain way to get to heaven/paradise. In doing so they leave no room for other ways. Doesn't make em wrong or right, it is just how they are.
Now as for why I believe the Bible is true, no other "holy book" from any other religion has prophecy in it THAT HAS COME TRUE. The Bible, however, has. Every prophecy it made about the life of Jesus came true. From where He was to be born, to where He would die, His blood line...everything. It was and IS accurate and the truth.

Lack of compassion and open heartedness. I would never say that Buddhism is the only right path. Everyone should enjoy the comfort of being happy no matter what they believe or do not believe. That's a shame you're 'in trouble'. I hope this goes better for you. Shanti shanti shanti

Everyone chooses their own path, and the one that fits them best. We're all on a spiritual journey, leading to the same place. There is no single "right" religion, but there IS a correct path for each of us. We just call God by different names, and imagine Him to be differently than others do. Even if you're an atheist, you're on a path of your own choosing, making the same journey.

Why would people subscribe to a religion if they didn't think it was the right one. The real problem here that people refuse to accept that maybe another religion is right for someone else.

Hi, I hope the drought there has recieved its rains!

And to answer this question, well here is my response.
I admire Australian outback people and kangaru's, and I believe that Australians are the closest to European traditionalism as any Western cultures that have changed from that into christianity or atheism sorts.
Each has a right to be 'their own right one', self explanatory.
Once any of them begins to persuade, con, force, bribe, pressure, coax, manipulate, empirialize or assimilate any one person or a nation into their way of belief and religion, then it becomes a human rights responsibility.
With the cliche example of Christianity, it is fine for caucasians in Europe, or in Bethleham to practice and enjoy, however it becomes a human rights violation to coerce through solicitation and preaching endeavors, when it still has severe cases of discrimination within it, including "Africans were once whites turned colored by God" and "Native American Indians were escapee jews with the assistance of God".
Truly it is a severe violation to coerce citizens everyday for the purposes of extending fellowship, especially to 'blacks', whereas they are denied their own skin and made to believe something truly against themselves, as well as denying the natives' their original North American heritage by claiming they derived in Europe.

So it is with this I conclude that all are good for themselves, If Caucasians are happy to beleive thier beliefs about the origins of the races, then they are free to do so in Europe, among strictly Caucasians, without attempting to force blacks or indians into joining fellowship to believe Caucasian religious beliefs.

Among the other cultures of religions, I am aware that they do not attempt to convert possible congregates or believers, and therefore remain acceptable among themselves, and in their own place in the world.

Because if those followers didn't think they were in the right religion, they wouldn't be part of that religion.

Some religions are more accomodating to others than other religions are, as are some members of each religion.

To be honest I haven't heard of any one religion claiming to be the right one. I have heard people impressed by a certain religion claim it is the right one. I think everyone should test out different churches and come to there own conclusions.

All I know is that the religion I follow shares the exact same views and beliefs that I do. Therefore it is the right one for *me* to express myself.

I couldn't tell you if it's the right one, the correct one to follow, because no one knows which one is correct.

PS; not every religion thinks they're the right one, some are actually only about belief in certain view points. ;)

Because the more numbers you have in a religion the safer everyone feels knowing how ridiculous their beliefs are. So they compete with each other to gain more followers. There's also a financial factor to it.
