Splish is an example of onomatopoeia. The sound of a word suggests its meaning. Splish is usually used with splash. As in splish splash I was taking a bath–first line of an old rock-n-roll song. Splatter to me is the sound something liquid or very soft makes when it comes into contact with a wall or floor.

This is not a Mythology or Folklore question, it belongs in the Language category....
Splish is the sound that water, or a liquid, makes when you step in it or hit it with a stick ot other object. Splash is about the same but a larger reaction i.e. a whale splashes but it wouldn't splish. Splatter is what a liquid does when it strikes another object as in: "She spilled her wine and it splattered on the couch."
