I'm not trying to be a bigot. I just want your two-cents.

There can be no Heaven or Hell. Here is the reason: when Christians die, according to their beliefs, they go to Heaven because they were saved and because they were faithful; however, most Christians have at least a few family members or friends who are atheists or members of other religions. According to Christianity, these friends/family are going to go to Hell. But if you're in Heaven, and your friends/family are in hell, won't you be sad that they are spending life in eternal agony? Won't you miss them? And if you are sad in Heaven, doesn't that defeat the purpose of it?
Of course, you might say that atheists and non-believers deserved Hell, but even if they deserved it, does that knowledge relieve you of all remorse from knowing they are suffering?

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.

Maybe a doll that can speak could exist. I hope there would be one. Even though it isn't quite possible.

I know the Catholic Church performs exocisms and so does the Eastern Orthodox church. But I don't recall ever hearing of a Protestant church, i.e., Baptist, Pentecostal, Assemblies, etc. ever performing one. Do they?

I have a Muslim aquaintance whose husband recently passed away. I don't know much about the Muslim religion so I was wondering what would be appropriate to do for her or say to her to express my sorrow. I don't see her that often but our children go to school together so we will chat sometimes in passing. I want to be able to express my sympathy but I don't want to say or do the wrong thing.
Please help!

When someone asks me to believe that my hair has turned pink, all that is required is that I locate the nearest mirror. If I tell someone that the house across the street is on fire, they will not believe me until they look out a window. If I ask them to prove to me that their drivers license exists, they know all that they need do is whip it out and show me.Why is proof required for all humans at every turn except when it comes to your imaginary god?
Why shouldn't it be just as easy to prove he exists?
Why can't someone just pull out their wallet and flash the picture they took with him while on summer vacation?
The "proof" that is always given when asked to prove the existence of your gods would never be acceptable in even the simplest of everyday situations requiring some form of evidence for you to believe.WTF?

As sad as this may sound, at this point in my life, I am doubting God so much and it really upsets me because so many christians around me are having such a great time and they talk about God so much and how He changed their lives, but i have nothing against that. What bothers me is i'm having such a hard time with God... and believing... I want to believe in God, and i believe that christianity is the way, but in the same time i'm having so little faith, and so much doubt. How is it that some people can find God so easily while others so difficult... it's so fustrating...

Ok so I dress in dark jeans and dark colors (grays, black, plums, olives) with neat designs with lots of jewlry. I listen to metal, rock, and country, but I also like philosophy, art, psychology, and all sorts of literature. Why do people have label me punk or a poser because my life doesn't revolve around just music or being 'different'? Why do we have to label anyone unless they're really trying to be somebody else? Can't we all just have are own style?

... that you have your beliefs because they are a comfort to you in this life? I admit my belief in God is comforting in that it makes me feel that there is a reason for us being here and having experiences that are difficult. And if you do not believe, are atheist, is that what is comforting to you? Does the idea of their being no God bring you peace of mind?

Do you think it's right to question the word of men-of-god Pat Robertson and the Rev. Dr. Benny Hinny? I mean, both of them get their information directly from God. The Hon. Mr. Robertson, who was almost president once, came right out and said God and him have a conversation every waking day. And it is obvious from looking at him that the Rev. Dr. Hinny is a believer because he's so well-dressed and goes around in a limo and a Leer jet with a plastic Jesus right there in the executive convenience. Real Christians believe what they say, every word. I'll ask my second cousin, the Rev. Ernest T. Crabtree, of East. Ditchwater, Alabama, to pray for you. It'll take a week or two because he's in prison right now on a morals misunderstanding and also waiting for his Universal Life Church ordination. But he prays really dang good when he's sober.

Today I'm sitting there with my aunt (she has been more like my grandmother and pretty much the only person that I've known in my family other then my parents and her kids) who I love dearly and she is a Christian and starts raving about Christianity and this and that how gay people are an abomination and this and that and how her religion is the truth. Anyway I found myself thinking of her differently I have never known her to speak this way about people and here she is saying all these people are going to hell. I would never take this from anyone else not even other family members but somehow it's different with her is there anyone that you over look things just because of who they are to you? Normally I'd sit there and argue till I was blue in the face.
