"Amen" is a Hebrew word which means "So be it", or "It is so". By placing an "Amen" at the end of the gospels, the authors were showing that the work of Jesus was complete.
However the Book of Acts is not "complete". It ends with Paul in prison awaiting trail before Caesar. Neither his life and message, nor that of the other apostles, was "finished" at the end of Acts. Rather it is implied that the message will continue to spread until it reaches the whole world. So there is no "It is so" declaration at the end of Acts.

I'm not exactly sure why the gospels end in "Amen", but the answerer who said that they were added by later copyists sounds fine to me.
Favourite Biblical painting? I'll go with Klimt's "Judith Holding The Head Of Holofernes, 2". The subject of the painting is from the Apocrypha(The Book of Judith). If you want something from the standard Bible, I'll say Beardsley's "The Dancer's Reward", showing Salome with the head of John the Baptist. Technically, though, that's a drawing, not a painting.

Question 2 - Edwin Hicks - The Peaceable Kingdom
Hicks was a painter who used his painting skill as a sign painter, a common sign that we would see on the side of the road pointing us to a farm, tavern, or business. Are we aware of the God in the simple things, God in the everyday?
Do we see the Peaceable Kingdom around us? The animals in this painting stare right at us, calling us into the canvas, and yet are we aware of where we are called into the canvas of the lives around us? Do we put our energy into the daily human activity, or into the caring for God’s creation?

dewcoons answered you correctly, the Book of Acts has no "Amen" because there was no end, it is still being compiled today and when the Kingdom of God arrives we will see the information on the Saints during the "gap" between Paul's imprisonment and the return of the Messiah added to that book.
Was pleasantly supprised that someone else likes Edward Hicks, he did several "Peaceable Kingdom" paintings, I have a copy of one in my binder at work. I also like his "Noah's Ark", and have a copy of it also.
I like Noah's ark because it reminds me of God's protection for the righteous.
I like Peaceable Kingdom because it inspires me to continue to strive for what God has in store for the Elect.

Acts ( or The Acts of the Apostles was a book of history of the early church up to that time. The other books you refer to were the epistles ( letters) not the Gospels and this was how each ended as an affirmation of God's will. ( "so be it")

The Amens were most likely added later by copyists. I like depictions of Jesus as various races.
