Or did God immidiately order all the "monsters" dead?

And also, how did we escape from the millions of carnivorous creatures if we indeed 'coexisted' with the dinosaurs? How did any mammal survive? Talk about a leap of faith.....

Not being a Christian myself, it is hard for me to understand people getting irate about "taking Jesus out of Christmas" and then four months later those same people don't mind that "Easter" is named after the Babylonian fertility goddess Ishtar.

Every year there are pilgrims injured or killed because too many are at the same time at the holy places, fulfilling the sacred rites. Has this always been like that? Is there a commandment for a certain date in the quran? Would a pilgrimage on another date be worth less or even worthless (note the difference!) ?

The whole idea of the rupture I find a little perplexing. I will have to check out what the Bible says, but even the Bible is open to interpretation.

I typed in rupture on the internet and hit SEARCH and didn't get much. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side my wife and I have bought an RV and we stay away from tall buildings.

If we believe that God is both benevolent and omnipotent, don't we also have to believe that he is incredibly lazy? I mean, otherwise, every evil in the world would be wiped out.

Even though it is written in the bible that Jesus was a Jew, it seems to be contradicted by the fact that the Jews themselves don't believe in him. Does this mean that Jesus was a Christian, as Christianity says that he did exist as a holy leader, instead of a Jew? And what made the Jews change their minds if they believed he was the son of God initially? Or might he just have never existed at all?

a) People who seem genuinely nice, but don't ask for anything in return
b) People who seem nice, but always ask for some favors or considerations later on, which are equal to the niceness they originally showed you
c) People who are not always very nice, but you can depend on them when you need help (always)
d) People who always ask for something from you, but never give you anything - either material or in the way of frendship
e) People who mind their own business, and don't offer or give any help, but also don't ask for any favors

I'm not asking who you like the most, but who you respect the most. If you could please rank the categories, beginning with the ones you respect the most first.

Bartholo said "No Master, I pray thee, for he stinketh." Jesus resurrected him anyway, and how did they get Lazarus to stop stinking?
Bonus Question: Did Jesus later try to hush up the story, cause it was too sensational?

There is one fate for all, and people’s are full of evil; while they have life their minds are foolish, and after that--to the grave. The living are conscious that death will come to them, but the dead are not conscious of anything, and have no more memory. Their love and their hate and their envy are now ended; and they have no longer a part forever in anything that is done under the sun. Eat, drink, and be merry. Wear fine clothes and cologne or perfume. Live happily with your sweetheart all the days of your life under the sun because that is your part in life and in your work that you do under the sun. With whatever comes to hand, do with all your power. Do it because there is no work, or thought, or knowledge, or wisdom in the grave to which you are going.

The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during a trial, trusting him when temped, surrendering while suffering, and loving him when he seems distant.

Yesterday I was browsing the bookstore and ran across a book about something, roughly '101 of the most inspirational characters that never lived.' The list ranged from Shylock to Mickey Mouse, Santa and the Wandering Jew. Number one was a big surprise to me: The Marlboro Man.
So, what about yourselves? What fictional character has shaped your life and why?
