This year my family and I didn't want to squeeze our christmas into twenty minutes on our way to visit all of our other family members. So tomorrow we are going to get up, put the ham in the oven, open our gifts, watch the steeler game and then ring in the new year by watching the ball drop, combining all of our december holidays into one big event. Does anyone else celebrate their christmas late and why do you celebrate it late?

I'm Christian, my friend is Jewish. His mom died yesterday and I was going to send flowers...however, I thought I remembered him telling me that Jews don't observe that tradition at funerals. Do I send anything? Nothing? and what about a sympathy card?

Most of the people who answered my question said that the rupture has no biblical basis, and I am inclined to agree. Then someone mentioned rapture spelled with an a. Would you people be more in favor of a rapture than a rupture, cause rapture brings with it the connotation of being enraptured. And that sounds like something I could get involved in. Any info at all would help.

Male college dorm, guys of several different racial and ethnic backgrounds, all of them honor students. They constantly make racial comments to eachother.
Examples:
The only people screwed worse than White guys for scholorships are Asian guys.
I expect the other guys to fail a math test but not one of the Chinese guys. Dude we're demoting you to white. If you flunk another one we'll declare you black. After that you're Hispanic.
Who's the dummest? Who's the dummest? - From a Hispanic guy that didn't score high enough for a National Merit scholoship but still got a National Hispanic Scholorship.
These guys also have a game where they all sit around a table and hurl racial and ethnic insults at eachother.

To start up a new religion, for it to be recognised as a religion rather than a load of "vague thoughts and opinions of a mad and insane individual" what does it need? a certain amount of believers? a certificate? do you need a degree?! I'm not talking about what happen thousands of years ago, or what someone did even just a few years ago. Today! I read nothing in the Bible that teaches hate, only love. As a Christian I hate no one, I don't teach hate. You have the right to do as you want, as long as you live in peace with those around you. So why do so many hate people for trying to live good, and teach their children to live a good life?

Just want to see if anyone ever was as embarrassed as I was once. If you really want a laugh or be grossed out, check this tidbit out: When I was 19, I drank all day with my buddy at the quarry, peeing outside all day of course. Made my way to a bus afterwards for 2 hour trip. There were a couple people on the bus, and I went to one of the back seats to dozed off. While dozing I stood up, said hi to the guy two seats in front of me (I thought I was still at the quarry and this guy was my friend), and peed on the floor. Woke up when the guy flashed his badge in my face, he was an off duty cop. Wow, how embarrassing :(

What makes a person feel like they are the center of everything? And what makes them feel like they must turn everything into a competition that they must come out as the winner of?
