He was a brutal dictator but he was also a child of ALMIGHTY GOD who is the judge of all in the end. I dont support Tyrants but I also dont support the death penalty as an answer to such a political problem. He was a menace but he also was a human being with a soul.

I agree with every single word you have said. Mercy has become history.

True, Saddam did wrong in his life, yet i do not support his sad ending. Imagine his daughters watching the video of his death. A healthy father surrendering to end his life. Unbearable, i feel.

My family and I have lost nearly everything and everyone during the Gulf War on Kuwait. Yet, i do not support the way they got him killed.

Forgiveness and fairness is what we desperately need - nowadays in particular. I don't know how people could feel happy for the death of a human being no matter how bad they did. And hey, on a holy day too: a day of love and forgiveness...

Saddam did not get what he deserved by being hung. He should have been hung at least a million times for every life that he snuffed out. He should have been tormented for 100,000 years, for all the pain and heartbreak he brought into the lives of people who saw their loved ones tortured to death. There is no weighing or understanding the evil a man does when he kills even one human being - but millions? If that isn't the most convincing argument in favor of eternal damnation, then I'm sorry, but I think you are thick as a brick.

I have to agree with you. I agree with the death penalty to an extent for certain crimes, esp child molestation and sexual predators. What I disagree with is the brutalty of how it is carried out. Letal injection is more humane and yes he is still is human being with a soul. My reasons for agreeing with the death penalty are simple really, the cost involved in housing criminals becomes enormous over time. Although I've heard it is just as costly to execute them. I find this hard to believe. I understand they inject a letal dose of potassium chloride and know this is a cheap drug. As far as the day goes...I'm sure someone was trying to make a point....or rather add fuel to an already raging fire. Great question BTW

he didnt get what he deserved, he got what he wanted, why dont people understand that executing people is not a punishment, no pain, or very little, over with in seconds, they should be made to suffer doing very hard labour or something for the rest of their lives, they should be forced to live and suffer every day. Im sure saddam like most people would prefer a nice easy death compared to being punished and suffering every day for the rest of their lives.

impo he got better then what he deserved. How about all the people that went threw his secret courts and didn't get the mercy that he did? in the bible it says an eye for an eye. I think that he should have gotten the same punishment as he gave out.

He should've been locked away with the rest of the nutjobs, but not kill him. I don't believe people have souls though, so I'm thinking his rebirth isn't going to be too pretty, given the karma he's sowed in this life.

and so was Hitler???? they were both evil men and got what they deserved. just because your a child of god does not make you a good person. but then again i think keeping them alive would have been a much better punishment i mean u have to live with ur self.

He was an evil and brutal killer,he sold his soul long ago.Didn't you see the video of the Kurds, women, elderly and children that he gassed? I hope he's kicking in hell as I type.Save your pity for another whiny cause !!

They did away with him before the actual Holy Day. Also, all the "windows" to his soul and I think his actual soul- well, they were closed years ago. If he had one that was usable do you think he would have murdered thousands and raised rapist, murderer sons? Don't think so- I do think that I wish we didn't have to wait 3 years and discuss this- too bad he didn't get hit with a rocket- quicker, cheaper, less discussion.
