If you feel saddness or pain... like death, illness or marriage in ruined, how do you deal with it and how you know when God is by your side when yet He seems to be far away?

In the first book of the Bible God destroyed the world of mankind because He said all out the thoughts of man at that time were bad.He preserved Noah and his family because he was found to be a rightious man.Jeaus said in the book of Mathew that the world would be in the same condition when He and His angels destroy it for the last time Matt 24:35 I think .Knowledge is the way to survival. John 17:3.

celebrated this wonderful event, the reamergence of God. Is this not a wonderful miracle that God is speaking to man again. Why, infact, is this dialog with Bush from God not being added to the Bible? I for one would like to read the exact text. I cannot understand how such a great event can fall on so may deaf ears. Why is the Christian world ignoreing the new words of God?

I was wondering why it is that so many of these people that call themselves Christian exhibit, in fact, personal traits and characters completely at odds with the core teachings of any faith. Many of them are selfish, condescending, close-minded and ill-informed, with only a tenuous knowledge of the religions they supposedly follow. Has anyone else noticed this extremely hypocritical behaviour, or am I alone?

It is almost as if these people are members of some elitist club that has nothing to do with salvation- rather it is a social membership, much like (I imagine) the freemasons.

I have no wish to offend those true believers who may even make up the majority, but would just like someone else's opinion of those who preach religion but know little of it?

I have lived in my residential neighborhood for 5 years now. As with all neighborhoods, people move in and people move out. Recently, some new neighbors moved in that are extremely noisy, but especially late (3am) at night. I'm assuming they go out and party because this seems to happen almost regularly now on certain nights of the week. When they get home, they hang out outside and before they crew of them leave, they unnecessarily rev up their loud Redneck Diesel Trucks as if its a way to be macho and cool. But actually they are just being immature drunks. What should I do? If it wakes me and wife up, it must be affecting others, and possibly young children in our neighborhood too.

I know the Pope speaks several languages. Is there a certain number of languages REQUIRED to become Pope, if so how many? If applicable, are there specific languages that need to be known as Pope? IF so, I would assume Romance languages would top the list (ie. Italian, Spanish, French, and of course Latin). Does anyone know how many languages John Paul II (Previous Pope) and Benedict XVI (current Pope) spoke/speak?

When I drive in the summer I wonder why the dozens of footballers wives wannabes and assorted other posers can't hang loose and drop the soft top when it's not raining. What's the point ? I would love at least one sensible answer - that might be a challenge.
