if you feel that God is far from you....you are the one far from Him. God will never leave us, He is faithful to be with us when we are faithful to Him. Do not think that you can reach God coz we can not, we do not have something to boast to God...instead God is the one reaching us, only if we let Him reach us....just open your eyes. He wants us to trust Him.

I am not classed as any particular religion, all I know is there is a God! I have felt god with me numerous times, it feels like an overwhelming feeling inside that kind of races your heart and you feel cleansed and new again. If you ask god to help you, God will lead you to what you ask for as long as you let God into your heart. Have faith and belief in God. The way I find answers and information on what I seek from God is to find a bible of your belief system. Ask God anything, have faith and belief of the truth, then open the book with your heart ( obviously using your hands) and read from where you see first. I have 100% results this way, it's quite surprising.
It may seem weird to some people, but Love, Belief and Faith is the key to communicating with God. Always ask God for forgiveness, if you are truely sincere, God will forgive anything. Sometimes it takes alot of work but It's all worth that feeling you get when you experience God's Love.
P.S I am genuine, and I am not any religion. I am just a happy, healthy, good spirited believer.

I always feel that there's no God when I am sad. But by and by, something or the other comes up in my mind and I start believing that even the sadness made me a better person. Then i believe that it was God who stuck with me and showed me the right path.
I am into Sufi philosophy -- I believe in Divinity who loves, teases, jokes (figuratively of course) with everything that happens to me. And when I calm down, I always think we (me and God) went through a rough patch. ;)
(This is not to be interpreted as me hearing "someone" laughing or joking -- but me realizing on my own how wrily funny the situation is.
For example: In my adolescent years, my "prince charming" was a rich man. I always imagined that I'd never be happy unless I stayed in a comfortable home and looked after his children. So, it was very ironic that I found a husband who was rich but completely weird -- he wanted his wife to be a submissive house-wife but always ridiculed her. He told me he couldn't respect anyone who didn't have a career and could only love (and not respect) a weak and submissive wife. "Love or respect -- you choose. You can't have both, " he told me. It was then that I realized, I needed respect. And all my adolescent fantasies of a comfortable home and money went out of the window; I knew how miserable I was without real love even in apparent comfort; I also learned that love wasn't about how much sex you had (for the first time I understood the meaning of lust) -- but something that got you respect and genuine concern from the other person. After my divorce, I realized that the person I really needed to be with must be a loving, respectful, understanding man. It seemed so funny to me that I got exactly what I wanted but didn't like it at all.)

It is difficult to say how you know that Allah is with you but you feel it. Your faith tells you so. You have s fixed set of beliefs that help you get over it. For example, as a muslim I believe:
1. Allah Loves me
2. Everything that happens to me is the best thing that could happen at this time in these circumstances
3. Everything happens for a reason
4. Allah's choices for me are better than the choices I make for myself
5. Allah's mercy lies within incidents that seem cruel and hard to cope with
6. Allah is always near me; just a stretch of a hand away
7. Hardships I go through are tests. Allah is testing my faith, patience, belief in Him, etc and I would not like to fail Him
8. The stronger your faith is, the harder the tests you go through are
9. Whether I accept it, deny it, reject it or be angry about it, I will go through the test and what will happen will happen. I'd better take it courageously and patiently to win the rewards of patience and being contented.
10. Life is but a phase in our existence. It is the minor phase.
11. In this life, I do not posses what I posses. Everything is Allah's that I have it for a while and can be taken back at any time; even my soul.
12. No matter what happens, life goes on.
Prophet Muhammad teaches us that everything that happens for us is good for us. If it is something we like, we thank God and get the rewards of being grateful. If it is something tough, we accept it patiently and get the rewards of patience.
Whatever you are going throug, I pray to Allah that you get through it without losing your faith, patience or peace of mind.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Peace

It's a feeling within. I deal with death and whatnot by knowing this is life and things like that happens here, but also life is a passing thing and then I get to go back home.

He is with us always - until the end of time - in sadness, pain, happiness, good times and bad - He is there. You may not always feel it - but He is. Just call to Him and He will answer you - you must be saved first though - are you? If you are His child, He will be there and if not, He will save you and be there. Either way - God is so good and He wants to bless us. Blessings dear one.

When I pray in the Spirit I know that God is with me because the Holy Spirit is praying through me. I know also that He is praying for any situation I am concerned with according to God's will. I also know that the Holy Spirit will comfort me for He is the Comforter. God is a very present help in our times of testings.

Dear do not only expect to feel god during the times of your sadness ,what about the happy times? God gives you happiness and if you do not have anything to be sad about how do you expirience happiness?God is always with you, he is more closer to you than your breath it is just that sometimes we tend to ignore what is right infront of us and try to look for it somewhere FAR.

When I pray, I wait for an answer. He speaks to this way. A lot of times then when I would read and study scripture, it would almost jump off of the page at me... just what I needed. I also feel His presence, too. E mail me if you like.
