celebrated this wonderful event, the reamergence of God. Is this not a wonderful miracle that God is speaking to man again. Why, infact, is this dialog with Bush from God not being added to the Bible? I for one would like to read the exact text. I cannot understand how such a great event can fall on so may deaf ears. Why is the Christian world ignoreing the new words of God?

Many people have claimed to have been told by God to do something. For example the crusades where Christians went to Jerusalem and slaughtered thousands of people as they believed it was what God wanted. In the Bible itself (2nd Samuel), the Israelites attacked the Philistines using the Ark of the Covenant because they believed God was with them, and that they would win because he told them to go. (in fact he made them lose because of their ignorance towards him). God speaks to people all the time, and half of the time they probably don't even know it. Its no miracle when God speaks to someone.
Saying "God told me to" is a very easy way to get out of a tricky situation, which in this case i think Bush is currently in. Both him and Blair have majorly screwed up Iraq and are looking for any excuse to justify their actions. . . just be careful before jumping to conclusions. Many people can do evil things thinking they have been told by God to do it.

And Jesus said there would be false prophets in these days and rumors of wars and such. Just because Bush said it happened does not make it gospel truth. The god bush was speaking of was probably the god of money, greed and power.

Ma'am, Bush did not say that he invaded Iraq at the command of God.

CNN did not report that he said it, either.

CNN and other sources reported this: that Palestinian leaders have claimed that Bush said it. (The White House has vehemently denied the claim.)

"Bush said it" is not the same as "Palestinian leaders said that Bush said it in a private meeting."

I'm sure you're smart enough to understand the difference.

It's funny how so many Christians voted for President Bush...and now that things are completely messed up they are acting like they don't even know who he is...They vote for him...yet pay no attention to what he says.

Because, we aren't as stupid as you want to believe we are. We know he didn't mean that God literally told him to go to war. He thought he was doing the right thing.
